The last good MOH game was MOH: allied assault. Since then they lost it. I know danger close has been around. I made up a story to describw how I felt about the current crop of MOH games. I think the 2010 game has a cheap, get it out the door fast feel to it and I don't expect much from this new one.

Yeah, it was rushed. Not enough weapons and maps, but it was still fun. I think I put in 100 hours, and there were only a couple hundred players playing at the time. They had 2 years to build on MoH 2010, so it should be much better. In fact, if this was just a weapon and map pack for 2010, I would still buy it. Assuming people were still playing.

I see what you are saying. I just think that its too similar of a game to BF, COD and just about any other war shooter to have a place in the market and actually do well. It looks like BF3, it probably plays similarly to BF3 (how different can a war shooter with the same engine really be) and I think that makes this game irrelevant (at least to me).

I'm going to be getting it. I liked the last one, very nice SP and like one said more emotional and evolved in the teams' characters more than COD series. I liked the fact that there were stealth missions in there and that you got to play with the different special forces units.

people actually liked MOH SP? wow....i finished it in like 4 hours and the story sucked (i don't even remember what the story was it was that bad).

All they did was try to rip off CoD. I only played a little MP in the beta and it wasn't anything to brag about either.

with all the CoD haters on here I don't see how they liked MoH either as I thought it was worse than CoD.

I guess I'm just crazy for thinking that "no one will ever buy this game again".

It was badly modified Battlefield (limited, smaller maps etc).

EA milking the cow.....good for them.

To be honest all the cod and moh games are all the same crap. We keep expecting new story new actions on a cookie cutter basic fps that's been done time and time again. I liked the story better in terms of characters not plot much.

Until they can make a single player campaign that could top COD: Modern Warfare's narrative, pacing, and drama, I'm not going to hold my breath or anything.

I just didn't like how cod switched from cod by infinity ward to treyarch going back and forth between modern time and older wars or black ops. All were decent and I have all them.

I like the MP...like Battlefield without vehicles. Like COD with much less kill streaks and gimmicks, plus dedicated ranked servers. I bought the first one for $25 on some preorder deal. I got my money's worth, and then some. Got this one for $30 on the BF Premium deal, and I'm sure I'll get my money's worth out of this one as well. I think I would pay $30 for 12 more BF3 CQ maps, with a better spawning system.

Kinda funny how people act like playing a game is like Sophie's Choice or something. Or someone liking a game is like an offense to allah. As much as I played BF, and to a lesser extent COD (didnt play much of MW3, but lots of time in the others), they get old from time to time. At least in MoH they are trying some different things in MP. I'm looking forward to something different.

That's exactly why I gave up on BF3 all together. Kirkland pack was bad enough, and I decided to buy it.

Than then came out with all of the other BS that pushed me over the edge.

I hate when they use their "marketing" techniques to extract as much money as possible from not only their clients but people that are supporting them.

It's a slap in the face.

I haven't touched and probably won't touch BF3 since. Just have 0 desire to do so...tired of the game as well.

I haven't touched bf3 mp in such a long time. All I used to play too but people just spent way too much time on that game. Don't they have work, school, family I dont get it. I would end up spawning infront of some guy knifing me. Or in front of a helicopter or tank. I still play now and then but I have yet to finish single player.

The game unlocked yet? Origin said it would unlock at 11:01pm for me on 10/22/2012. I'll get to test it when I get home. Any first impressions?

Its unlocked, but I keep getting "Disconnected from EA Online" when I try to play. Just like when BF3 launched, but I dont remember what the fix was. Canbacon and Moonbogg were playing.

Lots of grenades and grenade launchers. Right now I'm only doing combat mission, but I find the game confusing. Too much going on in the UI. In color blind mode, blue is the enemy, and red is friendly. Except when it highlights the guy who killed you...he is red. You try to spawn on a teammate, and you can only do it if he is away from the action. Many times he was in a corner and I couldnt spawn because something was around. Oh, and apparently they fixed voip, and unfortunately, its on all the time, and lots of players dont play with headphones so you get all kinds of noise going in their mics. Lots of loud static. No "mute all" that I see, so you have to manually mute people. I can see my speaker on the screen ala COD, so I know I am transmitting sound (probably keystrokes from mechanical keyboard), but I see no way to turn it off, or set up PTT. Oh...and looks like 20 players max.

I havent played a MP game like this in awhile, and I'm trying to use a carpel tunnel wrist brace, so now that I got my excuses out of the way, I am getting my ass kicked. Part of it is knowing the maps. The combat mission maps seem much smaller than MoH 2010, but there are also many more bushwack spots. Its going to take time to know where to go and what angles to look out for. And it seems like you have to hold an area for x amount of seconds, as opposed to manually arming something. Its just weird. I still dont know how to play the mode, because the teams were so unbalanced, I never saw how you ccap the objs. Pretty much one 2 man squad was winning it for the other team every game.

Unlocking guns give you an advantage. I dont know what class I'm using...the far right guy, but I couldnt kill anything with the default gun. Not enough stopping power or something. Unlocked the next gun and started to go positive in the games.

Also, looks like a lot of people are getting crashes. After my 4th of 5th game, the server crashed. Strangely enough, VOIP was still working. So everyone on the server confirmed their game locked up. On top of the problems I had just trying to get into a game, its a somewhat frustrating night so far.

It seems pretty negative, but I can see it being fun. I think I'm going to ditch the brace and get back in there. I went positive the last couple of games and started to get a feel for things, but then the server crashed. I think once people know what is where, the pace might slow down a bit and be more tactical, like the advertising implies. Right now its wild wild west COD style running and gunning. Feels chaotic like COD too.

I mean really, the game is not good. Save your money.

Your not saying that because I was your nemesis eh?

But yeah...it needs work. I'm thinking this is maybe why they gave BF Premium members 50% off. Lots of strange design choices....not really sure who they were catering to. Almost like a strange cross between COD and RB6, but everyone ignores the tactical part. The fireteam is kinda interesting, and annoying at the same time. And its possible the voip doesnt work with the fireteam. Either that or every teammate chose to ignore even the most basic requests.

Since I couldnt get into a multi player game through battlelog I played some of the campaign, it looks nice, very cinematic. The little EOD bot was fun to kick ass with. From there I joined a quick match multi player game and was like wtf is this?

I was doing very well running and gunning CoD style (3:1 KDR) until a horrible case of lag struck me. :(

I was totally confused with the UI and as to WTF was going on. We were supposed to be defending something, but I never saw that something. I think it was a search and destroy type of game I was thrown into. LOL

The map was tiny, the spawn system was weird, and I was having trouble figuring out how use the weapons I was unlocking. Ill give it another go later, right now Im just a lost noob in this game.

I tried all weekend to download it, and still haven't got it.

First off, the transfer rate tops out at around 1.3 MB/Sec, way slower than it used to be.

You can start the download and walk away, but the download encounters errors, and stops. (Error 262149:-3)

I can restart it, but it seems to corrupt itself, because eventually it gets to the point where it errors out every 30 seconds.
I once got to 93%, but had to delete the files and start over.
I've done that 4 times now.

Scanning Google for help and find nothing but sad stories, no one has a solution.

I updated to the newest version of Origin, ran it as admin, and turned off my anti-virus and firewall, none of which affect it in any way.
