The only review that matters to me is my own. What do I care if all the reviewers love a game if it turns out that I think it sucks, or vice versa.

The more I play the multi-player the more I like it. Ive mostly played TDM and it is reminds me a lot of MW2. While I liked the gameplay of MW2 I despised that game for one simple reason...IWNET, Im so thankful for games that still use dedicated servers. Im also glad that Warfighter has an in game server browser, since my battlelog is screwed atm Id be without a game without it. Thats one complaint I have against BF3, if battlelog is down or screwed up then you are SOL.

Warfighter is great fun for a run and gun junky like myself. Some of those early weapons are pretty weak and ya gotta get past them to really enjoy the game. As I stated earlier the UI is not "optimal" but now that Im learning where everything is and how it works I can deal with it.

@ DeadFred

Isn't it a little early to be arguing about games? Its only 8am. I'm on my second cup of coffee and can't do battle yet. Just let me have my way and don't disagree and all will be right with the world.

It got basic score reviews but I also enjoy it. Will keep me busy until hitman and black ops 2

I know, i'm just "trolling" you  (well, actually not. Just being silly)

I get your point about your post, and I am actually the same damn way. For me its like this: Many games get good scores, like 8-9 out of 10. But I don't buy those games because I know I won't like them! They are not the kind of games I am interested in, such as roll playing games etc. I can't stand them no matter how good the reviews are.
Regarding the kinds of games I do like, mostly FPS and strategy games, if they get a good score, there is a good chance that I will agree and like it, but not always. So, my point here is....not too sure actually :D

yeah most 9/10 games suck

look at the ratings all the COD's get, and lets be honest, MW2 and beyond got worse, MW2 was decent sure, but blops, mw3, probably blops2, not that great, MP is laggy as hell

ratings just dont mean much anymore, if wafighter is the beginning of that changing, great!

I read reviews, but a review isn't going to change whether I buy a game or not..it might persuade me to wait for a price drop. However, I've been wanting this game since MoH2010 ended. The MP is vastly improved and so far it's a nice in between mix of BF3 and CoD, which is what I think I have been looking for since I'm having a good time with it...bugs and all. I'm happy with the purchase and having fun..that's all that matters to me.

Regarding games with bad reviews, have you ever seen a game get like a 3 out of 10 and been tempted to buy the game just to see how bad it really is? LOL, I almost did that once and I think I just might go on a crappy game buying spree.

It's funny Eurogamer gave this game a 5/10 basically saying it was an unoriginal piece of trash, but said the multiplayer was better than MOH 2010. And yet back in 2010 they gave MOH an 8/10. Something doesn't quite seem right there...

Yeh the sp story and emotional setting is quite similar to moh 2010.

I didn't put much stock into the number so much of the content (yes, I actually read it). He had an axe to grind, and his comments were not only inconsistent, but flied in the face of comments he made on similar games (see his COD:MW3 review). Plus, his writing was absolute trash.

I actually feel they did a MUCH better job on the SP, both in terms of fun as well as story. I preferred it to COD--MW3, and felt it did a much better job depicting ops (it's no ARMA:II, but everything's relative anywho).

I'm still not sold on MP, I'm really not digging the hit detection, the interface sucks horribly, but the unlocks/rewards puts it a solid step ahead of COD, IMHO.

Yeah, if COD just had dedicated servers I would probably play it more. Well, I still think killstreaks are cheap, but I do like the arena style gameplay. If there was no ranking up to unlock weapons, I wouldnt care about ranked dedicated servers.

The theme for the reviews seem to be its not COD, so it doesnt get a pass on the COD formula. Eurogamer gave MW3 an 8/10. There was nothing really new there, aside from the Kill Confirmed and the support killstreaks, which MoH 2010 already had.

I havent, nor will I, play the single player. But MP is fun, just a little rough because of the UI and some missing convenience features. Strange that they say nothing is new here, but most of what makes it interesting is stuff you havent seen anywhere else.

Spec ops class is cheating lolol.

I still can't figure out why my guns are like pea shooters. Seems like I takes me at least 10 hits to kill and I die instantly.

You know, I didnt even know about that special ability until I saw a gameplay video of someone doing it.

When I switched to pointman, people died much quicker when using the AUG and 870. Even the upgraded MK18 in spec ops seemed better than the default gun. I want to say its all in the guns, but I think I also changed my play style. The range on the starting spec ops and pointman weapons is very short, so I get as close as possible now.

Bacon clued me in on the thermal "wallhack". lol

Like you Im doing my best using pointman and the AUG. That UAV glider thingy sure helps. I was able to get on a roll last night and got my first little bird killstreak. Unfortunately the game ended the moment I called it in and I didnt get to see how it worked. :(

I think this is the first written documentation on the internet of someone actually liking the UI. Quoted for posterity.

hey I'm a GUI guy and it is all there.. no more fucking with BL back and forth.. everything is right there 1 button click away.

Yup the pointman Aug (Australian version) is nice and it unlocks pretty quickly. I would trade the extended mag to the 32 round mag for extra agility, since the default weapon has super low agility count.

I'm really digging the sniper with the LaRue Semi Auto (I think it is the Australian version).

I got the littlebird and did know how to use it. I thought I was going to be able to aim it or fly it, so I just placed it in front of me where I knew two guys were. It got them, but I should have put it on the bomb site. I'm not sure if it kills everyone in the area or just does a strafing run.

With your spotter, if you hold it down and an arrow appears, then it can be re-positioned for a strafing run like the A-10. If not, then it is just an area thing. If you are a heavy gunner, go into support stance and shoot down the blackhawks.

FYI, you can shoot down UAV's and Switchblades. Also, you can destroy radio jammers. Flash bangs hurt and can kill people and destroy the proxy mines from snipers.

Unlocked the AK-103. Has no range, but feels like a real gun. The special ability for the the pointman (deadlier ammo) definitely helps a lot. Also realized that hitting V switches firing modes, like in BF3, but semi auto mode doesnt seem any more accurate for longer distances shots.

Finally had a semi decent game...scoring just under 7K points. Its hard breaking out of that rushing mentality. Also, not using the killstreaks right away, but instead using them judiciously makes all the difference in arming some of these bombs. It was pissing me off that bombs have clear line of site for the defenders, but smoke takes care of that.

Question...is there IRNV in the game? This would guy would shoot me through smoke. He did it a couple of times, and when the killcam showed his location, the screen was all white except for his outline. Seemed like bs...

Maybe he had heat vision on? Or a sniper with remote spotting?

Other than that, the UI will still show red dots and the name when you move over the person when smoke is up. For some strange reason they show the name right away, instead of having it appear after a short period of time like BF3. Same goes with bushes.

I hope they introduce the change BF3 did for that spotting issue.

I think he was assualter or heavy gunner. I guess it makes sense if he was scanning back and forth through the smoke. Thats some cheap ass shit. lol Whats the point of smoke if your name is gonna show!

I'm also thinking they should remove the red outline after you kill someone. Dont get me wrong, I use it to my advantage, but its a mechanic that shouldn't be in the game. Now instead of reloading after killing someone I switch to the shotty for a couple of secs when I move position. They also really need to let you switch fireteams. When you dont have a team mate, you are at such a disadvantage, especially when decent players move in twos.
