Actually I was hoping to get some prospective from someone who might be closer in ideology to those people. It wasn’t a gotcha question, although I can completely understand why you would think so.

So let me ask again, why aren’t they wearing masks? I don’t think it can be attributed to stupidity alone because before trump, when these people were normal, they weren’t stupid.
 
How much you wanna bet anyone actually wearing a mask there would be questioned and/or harassed about it? Or, at the very least, frowned upon.

LOL, I love the backhanded insult however. Like nobody would notice that right?

How the hell would I know why they aren't wearing masks. Why do you think that people in other countries are going without mask and protesting the wearing of masks?

I have nothing in common with these people. I wear my mask whenever I go out in public or around people. That includes my son, his wife and my granddaughter.

How do you know they weren't stupid when they were "normal"?

Maybe they are normal and it is you that is abnormal???

I’m not sure what part of my post you think was a backhanded insult but unless the ideology you portray on this forum is different from real life, your ideology is most definitely closer to theirs than mine is.
As far as trump supporters once being normal, well that is my own experience, admittedly it’s purely anecdotal. I have friends who have watched their own family members (as have some forum posters) retreat from reality as their support for trump intensified. Prior to that, these people were smart, normal, caring, people who were capable of believing observable reality.

If you have no insight as to why these people wouldn’t wear masks, that’s fine. No disrespect was meant in the question, hard to believe, I know.

You are so avoiding the answer. This country is one of the worst for COVID deaths 4% of the population and we have 22% of the deaths. The rest of the world does not have the problem of the so called "greatest country in the world"

Since you are avoiding the answer I'll do it for you. It's Trump. His idiots will believe ANYTHING he says. They already do. Did you see clips of the people seated behind him. Most of those people had masks. How did that happen? They required it. My guess was "if you want a prime seat you have to wear a Trump mask.

You seem to bend over backwards to absolve Trump of any blame. Yes they are idiots but those idiots listen to Trump. Not only that but leaders need to set examples and convince people. He's done the complete opposite.

The reason they crowd in & don't wear masks is as a political statement of affection & support for Trump. It's part of the post-truth world they live in. He accepts & encourages their behavior quite willingly or none of it would be happening.

It’s almost as if they are willing to die for their savor leader and are merely professing that devotion by bunching up in large crowds unmasked.

There are many, and alarming many, that would line up at the barrel of orange kool-aid, if Trump was handing out servings.

Their ancient myths view their first savor as a dark haired white bearded man, even though he would have been brown'ish.
The current myths view their second savior as a old fat man with a spray on tan and orange hair.
 
I guess he didn’t have everyone who saw him tested like Trump does for the Democrat hoax Chinese wu flu nothing going away soon like a miracle virus.

What we need is how many tests have been used since this began on the people are around or see the president to protect him. Run an ad over and over across all media platforms contrasting his statements with the testing numbers and the number of dead Americans. Throw in something about how they have tests back in minutes and hours for him but days and weeks for everyone else.
