Roseanne Barr is attractive if you ignore the fat, face and loud mouth.
So you want Alex Smith back or what?

Here in the Seattle area, 1" of snow practically shuts down the entire area. But there are many steep hills and we just aren't used to much, if any, snow. Which now that I am out of grade school is fine with me.
Browsing around message boards today one thing strikes me - a lot of people are really obsessed with Jay Cutler.
Why? I don't get it. My only concern in the whole deal was that I felt the Bears had a better chance to win with him than without him. It ends there - other than that I couldn't care less.
buy flacco got two rings, while cutler got no rings

Cutler is talented and can make all of the throws but much like Romo, when the game or season is on the line, you just hold your breath and hope he doesn't make yet another boneheaded play.
Or what.
Smith is much better than he got credit for.
Hardbaugh had no idea how to utilize him obviously, compared to Reid
His stats aren't bad if you ignore some bad games early in the season. This is not going to be a high scoring game.
Thomas out for the saints.....ugh this may be a pick changer.

Do you not remember how Smith played prior to Harbaugh? He got benched for Troy Smith and David Carr..![]()

He got injured when Carr replaced him. While Alex Smith wasn't spectacular when he started his career, he also didn't have that great of receivers around him until VD. The guys had quite a few OC changes as well, not like he was able to keep using the same playbook.
Um, VD was drafted the year after Smith.
Granted, it wasn't until '09 VD started to actually be a factor.

To be fair, he had 5 offensive coordinators starting each of his first 5 season, and the 5th was fired halfway through the 6th. Harbaugh really turned that entire team around.
I didn't want him to say I don't consider VD a great receiver. He was pretty much the only receiver other than Crabtree, who kind of sucked his first year as well.
True. I still remember the "We Want Carr" chants at Candlestick.. oi.
Yes. Any QB in his position would have failed. To say Harbaugh didn't utilize Smith properly is a bit asinine though. He turned him around and got two 2nd round picks to show for it.
Many labeled Crabtree a bust until year three. His numbers went up after Kaep started throwing though.
The 49ers would not be any better off with Smith than Kaep. Smith is playing like Smith (which is to say if it wasn't for Jamaal Charles we wouldn't even be having this conversation as it'd be more than clear that Smith is nothing special), and Kaep is having a, not unexpected, rough 2nd year. But the 49ers still have a young QB with a lot of upside plus another 2nd round pick, and the Chiefs have a middling stopgap QB that will hopefully buy them time to groom a young franchise QB (shame Reid wasn't able to bring Foles with him).
Thomas was the only RB on the roster that was any good at pass blocking or screens.
