Here in the Seattle area, 1" of snow practically shuts down the entire area. But there are many steep hills and we just aren't used to much, if any, snow. Which now that I am out of grade school is fine with me.

We just got about 9 inches at Philadelphia airport from last night. I saw maybe about 6 inches on my sidewalk. Snow came 1 day early. Shoulda came tomorrow night to welcome in the Saints. The snow melting off the hood of the car freezes into icicles before it hits the ground.

Browsing around message boards today one thing strikes me - a lot of people are really obsessed with Jay Cutler.

Why? I don't get it. My only concern in the whole deal was that I felt the Bears had a better chance to win with him than without him. It ends there - other than that I couldn't care less.

Cutler is talented and can make all of the throws but much like Romo, when the game or season is on the line, you just hold your breath and hope he doesn't make yet another boneheaded play.

This year, Smith has a higher completion percentage, higher yards, more TDs, less INTs, and the same number of sacks as Kap. Oh, and one less game played.

I disagree, he did very well under Hardbaugh. The problem is he thought Kap was a lot better based on very little playing time.

Short run its going to hurt it seems but will really know this time next year.

Do you not remember how Smith played prior to Harbaugh? He got benched for Troy Smith and David Carr..

He got injured when Carr replaced him. While Alex Smith wasn't spectacular when he started his career, he also didn't have that great of receivers around him until VD. The guys had quite a few OC changes as well, not like he was able to keep using the same playbook.

I didn't want him to say I don't consider VD a great receiver. He was pretty much the only receiver other than Crabtree, who kind of sucked his first year as well.

Which was the whole reason for keeping Kaep starting. The upside was far greater as we already knew the limits of what Smith could do.

did you ever watch the games with Harbaugh? He turned Smith from bathscum into the top rated QB for 1.5 seasons.

lol--the ONLY reason he is now in KC is because Harbaugh turned him on.
