That familiarity and law of averages has me scared for the game against GB. Winning 4 in a row against them isn't going to be easy.

That's where I am with the Saints.

5 road playoff losses in a row. That streak has to end eventually, right? RIGHT?

With a temperature of 0' how the fuck do you drink beer? Doesn't that shit just freeze immediately (along with any other drinks you buy...)

Or does everyone go Russian for a day and bring along flasks of vodka?

the drunks will keep agitating it with their shaky hands that will keep it from freezing. Also I don't think one individual beer lasts more than say 10 minutes until their on to the next one.

if they were to set it down and let it sit for awhile it would turn into a beer slush.

that's the old gambler's fallacy. Because the roulette wheel landed on red the last 5 times, it's got a higher chance of landing on black now because it's due...NOT

that being said, I'm picking GB and the weather is a part of that, but I think A-Rodge is going to be in beast mode and having Cobb back helps

That is only true because in gambling the odds don't change; you can't learn the opposing team, you can't improve your own odds, etc.

if you play a team 90837498735x and lose to them 90837498735x, you would HOPE that you would study tape and figure out how to beat the other team.

No Clay Matthews and having one of the worst run defenses, it will be an inconvenient truth day.

Sometimes the 49ers think Kaep is a great throwing QB and forget about the running game, that's when they get in trouble

Good thing that has happened since their first two losses. Kap can also run like last year. I see a bunch of read options mixed with some play action passes. The question is can they keep Rogers from getting an early lead?

This is one of the rare times where I agree with letting him run. Run Collin run!

Browsing around message boards today one thing strikes me - a lot of people are really obsessed with Jay Cutler.

Why? I don't get it. My only concern in the whole deal was that I felt the Bears had a better chance to win with him than without him. It ends there - other than that I couldn't care less.

you don't normally see that high quality of a qb that close to hitting the free agent market.

Yeah, as soon as Colleen gets popped once in the frigid weather, he'll stop running. I don't think anybody wants to be tackled in that kind of weather.

I've been a 49er fan since I discovered football in the third grade (1966). John Brodie and Dave Wilcox were my favorite players. I've been loyal all these years and I'll stay loyal. But Colin Kaepernick needs to either up his game this post season or the 49ers need to make a move at quarterback. He can run (though he is protecting himself more this year) but he can't throw to save his life. If it wasn't for the defense, I shudder to think where they would be right now. Certainly not in the post season. :(

Yeah but they have that defense. While offense looks good through the regular season, playoff history tells us that defense is just as if not more important.

If my NFC picks are right we'll see Aint's probably losing in Seattle and Niners-Panthers doing a coin flip game in Carolina. Still nor sure how to pick that one. If Smith looks like he'll be a gimp I'd start to lean niners.

The passing game isn't going to determine the winner in green bay. It will be running.

My gf is a SF game, so I've been watching games this season. CK isn't THAT bad. Plus, now that it's the playoffs, he can take more chances and run more often.

I would agree that with the cold weather, running will figure prominently. But without the threat of passing, the defense can key on the running game. Ask Gore how he did last week...
Going forward the 49ers need a balanced attack.

After GB yes, but GB D is horrendous. Forte was a HOF back against them and Mathews will be out for the game.

His stats aren't bad if you ignore some bad games early in the season. This is not going to be a high scoring game.

Roseanne Barr is attractive if you ignore the fat, face and loud mouth.
