Maybe that's what political correctness says they should do but it's not the truth. I'm not sure where you got this idea as it's entirely untrue. Most religions say the exact opposite - especially Christianity. Christianity does say not to be a hypocrite by saying/doing one thing in public and saying/doing the opposite in private.
It's in the Bible I have here that one should not preach and one is not damned for even marrying one who is not of like faith.

Oh, well that explains everything... Is that a Satanic Bible by any chance? (j/k, I'm sure it's not) Seriously though, care to quote specific verses that agree with what you stated earlier? Until then you're just talking out your rear... Saying something is true does not make it so.

That's not the first time I've said that in this thread. I've also stated many times that what I post reflects my beliefs - I've never said they are absolute undeniable truth and that everyone must accept them. You appear to have inferred that into my comments however. For the millionth time: you're free to think and do as you wish. I know I can't change that, and I'm not trying to. I'm simply stating my opinion.

That's why I hate "political correctness" - it's fine to mock Christians and insult them but the second anyone says anything derogatory or inflammatory about any other group it's "you're a racist/sexist/ignoramus etc..." Hypocrasy at it's finest.

I was really involved in religion due to my ex wife. I have found most of the 'saved'/'born agains' always brag how bad they used to be, but have now 'seen the light'.
Almost all of these guys would tell my wife (girlfriend) at the time how I was no good, a sinner, and how they know since they were there once. The funny thing is they just wanted to bang her themselves....some holy guys they were....
On top of that, I have a pretty great memory....most of these guys would contradict themselves constantly forgetting who they told what too and what they have done and didn't do....or have some other story come out that made their claims false.
Religion is a great thing, but many use it to make themselves appear better than others.
Those that sing or pray loud are not being fair to other's, almost every religion states one should keep to themselves and not 'preach' or try to convert. Offering good advice and mentioning God or the Mountain King as their Father and advisor is ok....but it becomes the same as saying my Armani suit and Johnson and Murphy shoes are so much greater than your 'Department store' blazer/pants and 'discount' shoes.![]()
The funny part in this is I am rather crazy and if I get preached to enough, I will become God and start talking as 'You are very right, my son, but I do not want you sharing our secret with all these heathens...."

Instead of acting like a bunch of b*ttholes, they should really get a reality check. That Gestapo crap never worked... not in the Crusades, not now. It is just a ploy for them to feel good about themselves, and think that they are doing the "right" thing, and that every Christian that doesn't act like them is doing the wrong thing. Bunch of idiots, who like to carry the Bible like a leather bat or something to that nature. Hey, it isn't just you "Heathens"j/k... that get annoyed with these idiots.

To Flyermax... that is a whole different religious thread. What the poster was talking about was "religious" zealots (that includes atheists and Christians...) who try to force their beliefs on other people. Obviously this guys' boss was intentionally praying and singing aloud to "share" his faith. It isn't sharing his faith. It is intentionally forcing someone to listen to your beliefs. He may do this in a non-aggressive manner, but it is still forced.
I do agree with you Flyermax though on this post, it is hypocritical, but that arguement is totally off topic.

Bah, that doesn' t even qualify you for the "nice try!" club.![]()

Sorry for the late response on this, but i did in fact read it (for a second time mind you)... I have yet to see, aside from you being embarrassed, how he forced YOU to do anything. Did he force you to close your eyes and bow your head for a moment of silence or something? Did he force you to say a prayer? Did he chain you to his car and drag you to church?
So to go back to my previous point, you mentioned Its america and we are all free to do as we wish. That includes you not going to lunch with him if you are embarrassed.

He was forced to sit and be subjected to ridiculous behaviour and what was tantamount to preaching.

Listen up, monkey-boy....Nice reply, really. Thanks for the kind words. But you sound as bad as him, no offense. You believe that your car starts in the morning b/c Jesus wants it to. You believe that you get a paycheck to feed your family b/c Jesus lets you.
Come on, man, think for YOURSELF. You earn that money. Jesus doens't "let you" do anything. You are FREE, not a puppet. Oh, but I know. Jesus gave you the will to choose too, right? And therefore you and my boss close the loop w/your line of thinking.![]()
It's a perfect scenario, really; you have the answer for EVERYTHING that way.
I will not debate on Creationism vs. The Big Bang theory, but if you think that one day there was nothing, then suddenly God got bored and made it all in six days, then you're no more intelligent than the monkey's we decended from. Of course, I'm sure God put all those same DNA strands in both sets of animal just to "test your faith."![]()
