You don't huh? It sure sounds like you do now! You shouldn't take out what you believe (now) on people who believe/have faith in Christ. You had a really bad experience being forced to go to church and having "religion" shoved down your throat and that's not the way that it was intended to be. ...people have to make up their own minds ... ... not have parents make up their minds for them.
Being a Christian entails much more than believing ...it's a relationship, having faith. That's why calling the relationship a "religion" doesn't fly. Religion contains "A set of beliefs, values, and practices based on the teachings of a spiritual leader." and that's the thing that most religions focus on ... ... and that's why most churches don't adopt the word "religion." And also, I don't believe on having no bible in your hand while you are learning from a pastor/preacher/priest/etc. You should have a bible in your hand and make up your mind for yourself. God sent teachers to teach, but not to make up our minds for us... ...and that's what most "religions" do.. e.g. Catholicism, mormonism, jehovah's witnesses, etc. They usually only teach 'parts' of the bible that they find that suites their "religion." Christians (followers of God, people who have faith and don't just believe in God, born again, etc) ... we make up our own minds. We go to church and listen to a teaching authority, yes, but we have our bibles in hand and we make up our own minds according to what truth is in the bible.
Anyways, I hope that you resolve your issues with your boss. I personally think that it's great that he glorifies God in his life, daily. That's awesome. And no, he's not brainwashed -- he's thankful for the change(s) that God has made in his life and the sacrifice that God made for him to make him clean and worthy to glorify God. You know, have you ever considered yourself brainwashed? Brainwashed by this world? Brainwashed by science? I bet that you haven't ... ... but, you should take a second look at what you believe in, because, if you think that the universe (especially the earth with all of it's life forms) could result from a big bang theory and that we came from monkeys... ...then wow. I don't know about you, but I didn't come from no stinkin' monkey.

Listen up, monkey-boy....
Come on, man, think for YOURSELF. You earn that money. Jesus doens't "let you" do anything. You are FREE, not a puppet. Oh, but I know. Jesus gave you the will to choose too, right?
It's a perfect scenario, really; you have the answer for EVERYTHING that way.
I will not debate on Creationism vs. The Big Bang theory, but if you think that one day there was nothing, then suddenly God got bored and made it all in six days, then you're no more intelligent than the monkey's we decended from. Of course, I'm sure God put all those same DNA strands in both sets of animal just to "test your faith."
But hey, it's America and we are both FREE to choose what we wish.
