I guess that excuses it then? You go so far as to admit you were out of line and that you innapropriately lumped all muslims into the extremist muslim category... then proceeded to nullify it all with that last comment. Obviously you're not sorry that you offended normal, everyday muslims everywhere (the majority). So why should Kev be sorry that he offended you by mentioning S-tan? Blatant hypocrisy like that only makes you look foolish.Originally posted by: Flyermax2k3
As far as the "towelheads" comment goes I suppose that was out of line but in my own head I associated the anger over 9/11 with extremist Muslims and took a cheap shot at Muslims in general. I'm not the first to do this, nor will I be the last.
Look, don't get your panties in a wad. It just seems like you're saying superficialities matter to God. If God has the kind of power over time and space that you say he does, then he is perfectly able to know what's in your heart. What you say (and conversely) what you type means nothing if it's not what you feel inside. Remember, you're justified by your faith (internal) not works (external). Everything else amounts to ritual and isn't necessary. You may write it that way out of respect, but it is not a sin to write it otherwise.Onto your assessment of my beliefs: gee, thanks. I'll keep that in mind. I really think you may be onto something there, what with you being able to discern the mind of G-d and all... You must be some kind of super genius! How do you know what G-d thinks about this subject? It's obviously not Biblically-based, and the Bible is the word of G-d so unless G-d told you otherwise (thus contradicting Himself which is impossible) I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say you don't know what you're talking about. Go do some study of the Bible and then come back and debate me. Until then, I think I'll trust the word of the L-rd over what some random intarnet 1337 haxor on a message board has to say.

Once again: one man's truth is another man's untruth. I'm not going to explain the experiences I've been going through every single day for the last 7 months, nor their meaning to me. I believe that if you are ready for it, your guardian angel will show you the truth someday as well.
I wish you good luck on your journey, and no ill will. I do not begrudge you your beliefs. As I've stated several times already in this thread: every man is entitled to believe whatever he wishes. That is the beauty of free will. I just happen to believe that my free will is a gift from G-d and I am thankful for it (not to imply that you're not thankful for your free will).
I'm gonna watch some anime and then go to bed. I've got to get up early for a flight tomorrow morning so I can't spend all night on ATOT
g'night all
Bah...it's early yet...well...post from the plane then
Have a safe flight.
You're right, that wasn't my last postJust thought I'd check in while I was finishing up some laundry. Oh, and I can't post from the plane if I'm the one flying it
![]()
You fly? Cool. Worked with a few guys that did (earlier this year when I did a stint at car sales). Considering my past driving record (well...longer than 5 yrs ago), it's not wise for me to do so!![]()
Yeah, I'm a flight student @ Spartan School of Aeronautics (for those of you that have heard of it). I've got quite a long day tomorrow, not even sure why I'm still up... Gotta wake up at 6 am for my flight, then class immediately after that, then I go straight to work until 10 pmLoooooong day... I should probably go to bed now that the laundry's done...
G'night all (this time I mean it!)
Got anyone from the mideast looking to fly but not land? :Q
Did you notice if their security procedures (if any) were stepped up or did they mention anything? Just kinda curious.
Later...
Nopers, they kicked out all the towel-heads after 9/11. Security procedures have been stepped-up drastically. You can't even step foot on the flight campus without a school-issued photo ID visible above your waist at all times.
Is it some kind of sin to actually spell out "God" or "Lord"?? Will you burn in hell for all eternity if you don't write G-d all the time? It is d-stracting and m-kes yo-r wr-ting l-ok we-rd a-d b-oken.
That's great, anyone who wore a turban was kicked out? "Just because"? You and your school are big fans of tolerance eh?
For someone who's such a big fan of tolerance you're not very tolerant of my beliefs. Yes, I do believe it is a sin to use the name of the L-rd (any of them) in vain (i.e. in association with anything worldly). I, like many Christians and Jews, omit the vowels from the names of the L-rd so as not to associate His holy name with anything unholy. As far as the whole "kicking out the towel-heads" thing goes, I am a student at my school - not a staff member. I had no say in the matter and came here long after they made that decision. Also, I doubt there are many here who would disagree with this move. After all, it wasn't the Amish or the Puerto Ricans that hijacked planes and crashed them into buildings on 9/11 - it was a group of Muslim extremists. Oh, and just for the record - my school (the flight campus anyway) has more Asian students than American students because of a huge contract with the Chinese government.
Ok, I really am going to sleep now. Tired is no way to fly.

Hmmm.....if he needs to keep his comments to himself why don't you hypocrites do the same. If you can talk about him, why can't he talk about Jesus? Its amazing not once did this cry baby say he forced his religion on him. All he said was he gave thanks out loud. Besides anyway, the fact is and its a fact whenther you choose to believe or not, Jesus will be your judge and your jury when you die. And the funny thing is your sorrowful opinion will not mean a thing then. My suggestion to those who don't believe enjoy this life to its fullest, because ETERNITY waits. Its amazing the decisions you make in 80 or so years in this life if your lucky, will determine the rest of your ETERNITY folks. You know what I also always find funny. Is the complete and utter nonsense that your belief creates God. lol Like if I don't believe then he doesn't exist....hehehe. Its like saying if I don't believe in Twinkies they don't exist![]()
I'm just curious...how would you feel if he was singing an islamic prayer? How about if he was singing one of the rig vedhas? Would you be quite so insistent that he be able to preach his faith as he chooses?

Believe it or not, I wasn't trying to start a flamefest, I was just ranting. But hey, I'm all for a good brawl.
Fundies crack me up. Can't say this, can't do that...give me a break. So God has personally spoken to you, huh? No, NOT thru the bible, but personally appeared to you...at Walmart and told you what he wants? Right.

You know if you took the time to learn about Christianity from your boss instead of through flamefests on ATOT, you might learn something...
But thats probably not as brainless as making fun of Christians with 20 year olds on an internet forum... what was I thinking. Carry on!

My boss "got saved" about 18 years ago...he used to be "a sinner" as he so loves to say it.but he pretty much has stopped trying to save me, etc b/c I told him that it offends me. I was being very nice about it.![]()
When you ask him how he's doing today/tonight he always says "I'm blessed." What the fvck ever, man; I've gotten used to it. But now he's gone too far...Jesus has brainwashed him.
We sat down to eat about an hour ago. Instead of quietly praying to himself (saying grace) like he always does, he started singing:
Thank you Jesus! For all you do! I'm so grateful you do what you do! Thank you Lord, for this food!
And a few other lines I don't remember. It was just he and I at our table. The whole room just stared. I wanted to die. At least he didn't start waving his hands in the air and shaking a tambourine or some sht like that.
I really don't want to eat with him anymore...but it's kind of habit...we usually do breakfast and lunch together...it sure doesn't hurt come Review time.
But this is getting ridiculous. How do I stop this inappropriate behavior? Smack him? Electrocute him? Throw goat's blood on him? If you worship blown lightbulbs as your God, good for you; I'm happy for you. Just dont' let your belief infringe on my personal space, OK? :|

Not the true word of G-d. Man's mis-translation of His word from one language to another is bound to have errors. The original text written in Hebrew has very few translation errors (something on the order of thousandsths of a percent) over the past couple thousand years.
What was the point of the link you provided? To prove that because man's not perfect G-d doesn't exist? Once again, the actions and beliefs of imperfect men does not invalidate the existance of G-d. You can post tripe like this all day long and you'll still never convince me G-d is a lie.

So were these "towel heads" Muslim extremists? Or they got the boot just because they looked like them? Those Japanese interment camps during WW2 sure were a good idea too eh? Is the Asian enrollment at your school supposed to be some kind of nod towards its openness for non-Americans?
