Not to disturb your myopia with some correction, but I believe I've been pretty much insulted and attacked with the same type of posts. So if I am guilty of being immature, then so are your partners in crim.

Go back and look at this thread. You started off with your brutish, vulgar behavior.

I disagree on the severity of the attacks and how they were started.

You just don't know how to let other people have their own opinions without crying about it. It's really that simple.

Read the thread again, you seem to be the first person to attack with your "elitist asshole" comment.

Well obviously lol. However I have never called you a redneck or came into other threads to insult you. That's your job, just like you did in this thread. Completely unprovoked, unchecked, brutish anger.

Insulting you doesn't mean I'm angry. You'll be famous and rich one day, however, with your shocking ability to read someone's emotions over the internet. I've been accused of crying and anger, so I must be sitting here sobbing and throwing glasses out my window. Right...

Yeah, he got them because his mother recommended them to him on the fourth of July. The salesman's name was Harry.

Nah, I'm not upset that you are both jealous of me. I can pick what I really want to do in life and know that I am financially secure no matter what job I choose. I can pick my childhood dream job and not worry about if I have enough money to buy a house.

Again, WTF are you talking about? Stay on topic for once.

It's obvious that you have absolutely no argument with this. You can't even stay within the scope of the topic at hand.

I've posted information that Troy State is Tier 2, and that US News and World Report and Kaplan's considers Tier 2 to be middle of the road. You've said your personal opinion was that they are poorly regarded. I asked for evidence to support your opinion, and all you can do is restate your opinion. Neither one of you has offered anything other than a personal opinion.

OBVIOUSLY. So have you. Are you really this stupid?

I've provided my opinion and said why.

You just cry about it.

Evidence =! a tautological explanation.

Again, it is my OPINION based on the US News and how I interpret it.

So what are you going to cry about next?

But your opinion flys in the face of what the US news and world report rankings actually mean. I can base an opinion of an article, but the article has to support what I'm saying. By pure logic 2nd tier means it would not be poor, because poor would have to be less than the middle tier. 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th Tier. You could make an argument that 1st Tier is Good, 2nd Tier is Average, 3rd is Fair, and 4th is Horrible.

It's asinine to suggest that 2nd tier would correlate to a poor category.

Again, that's just your opinion. You can have an opinion and so can I. Apparently you can't let anyone have an opinion on anything Alabama related, unless it agrees with you.

In my opinion, a 2nd tier ranked school in a southern only non-doctoral ranking is a poorly regarded school. That's it. If you're 2nd tier, 3rd tier, or 4th tier, then you're not highly regarded.

I think I've given you plenty of chances to support your opinion with evidence. Saying something X times doesn't make it anymore true or valid.

The evidence is US News

"Like the National Universities?Doctoral, these institutions provide a full range of undergraduate and master's programs. But they offer few, if any, doctoral programs. The 573 universities in this category are ranked within four geographic areas?North, South, Midwest, and West?because, in general, they tend to draw students heavily from surrounding states."

Each tier has similar numbers. If Troy State is even 300th out of the 573 that means they are still middle of the road. Considering there are tens of thousands of schools with college programs, I'd think that gives credence to the fact that they aren't "poorly" regarded.

But it's still middle of the road for schools that don't offer the highest levels of education.

How was CanOWorms elitist?

How was I elitist - again, like I've said plenty of times - it's not worth it to go to an expensive school. Troy St. isn't trash, but it's poorly regarded, IMO.

If that's elitist, then you're crazy.

I'd be interested to hear you speak on why a police officer needs a doctorate. A Masters level seem sufficient.

Are you kidding? I never insulted anyone personally in the beginning. I said that Troy St. is poorly regarded and then you went crazy. Hardly the same as calling someone an asshole, prick, homosexual, or whatever.

I didn't read all of the posts here, but I don't think it's wise to make assumptions about someone's abilities just by where they went to school. I think they deserve an interview if everything else in their resume shows suitability for the position. There are so many geographical and financial reasons for why people choose their school. Also, I always thought a military background was always a huge plus during job consideration.

Some companies only recruit from Ivy League schools or other top schools, and only if your company or division is like that can I can understand your boss' reaction. I won't get into the argument about whether it is right for a company to do that, but I will say that it is a bit short sighted, but on the other they have the right to make their own hiring policies. Some of the bigger investment banking firms have been get good results by recruiting at schools they previously wouldn't have bothered to go to.

Wow, you're making fun of my ability to read. You're really running out of material there, Mil.

Instead of making useless comments, hurling insults at everyone, and reposting the same paragraph over and over why don't you try to stay on topic?

Sure, it can be anything.

Again, it's my opinion that Troy St. is a poorly regarded school. Can you handle me having a different opinion based on an AL institution? Or are you just going to attack me, just like you did from the very start of this thread.

True. I'm actually from AL and Troy State didn't even have a very good reputation there. None of the schools in AL are really any good for undergrad. You've got to go out of state.

I think saying that every undergrad school in Alabama is no good is pretty elitist.
