No, my reading skills are fine. Your skills are obviously lacking.

Your school was brought up as comparison to Troy State. How does my degree have anything to do with Troy State? I had plenty high enough ACT and GPA to go to a top notch school and major in anything I wanted. I didn't like Broadcast Meteorology as much as I thought so I settled on something else. Again, why does my major matter so much? I can afford to major in that and be a Police Officer or the like and be ok with that. I'm happy with my place in society. I'm not insecure enough to think that a degree is going to make me revered in society. What you accomplish in life and how people remember you is a lot more important than where you went to school. That's the whole point of what I am saying. You don't have to have an MBA from Harvard for people to like or respect you.

But the point everyone else is trying to make and the point of this thread is to discuss the status of Troy State. We are not here to discuss your view on what it takes to succeed, your ACT scores, your major or how to earn respect.

It's obviously not a joke if it is in the 2nd tier with plenty of other recognizable Universities and Colleges. You keep accusing me of being on a tangent, but he NEVER ONCE asked if it was nationally recognized. He asked if it was a joke.

Yes, it's with other respected and recognizable universities such as University of North Alabama, University of Central Arkansas, etc.

Lets not forget Marshell. And YOU CAN COMPARE IT TO TIER 2 schools in other regions, thats what rankings are for. Its better than you are making it out to be.

It may very well be - however it's still not highly regarded. That was the original comment and that's what Mill is whining about. Again, it probably wouldn't even rank in the top 250 US schools.

It's not highly regarded, well regarded, decently regarded. Of course it's a matter of opinion since everyone has their own scale. Of course, Mill's brutish nature kicks in and all this starts up.

"Poorly" regarded is what I took issue with, because it is obvious that it isn't poorly regarded. I never argued for one bit that it was highly regarded or anything more than a middle of the road Tier 2 school.

Again, it's poorly regarded. A 2nd tier non-doctoral school in a Southern only ranking would not be highly regarded to me. I'm sure many people have this opinion. It probably wouldn't even rank in the top 250 US schools.

So if it isn't "highly" regarded it is "poorly" regarded. Nice to see a nice logical non-biased conclusion there.

Where did I say that? Yes, it's poorly regarded in my opinion.

Since you've obviously lost this argument, you're just trying to make up new arguments. Nice!

How am I making up new arguments?

I didn't say that if something isn't highly regarded, then it is automatically poorly regarded.

However, I still believe that Troy St. is poorly regarded.

So stop posting here with irrelevant information.

That's quite a list there. I know that when I was growing up everyone talked about how the wanted to go to Carson-Newman
rolleye.gif

Its not in the top 250, but as I stated before, there arent anyother tier 2 colleges in the top 250 either. Heck some tier 1s dont even make the cut of top 250. Tier 2 colleges are Tier 2 colleges, it doesnt matter the region. Thats not how rankings work. A tier 2 college in the west IS comparable to a tier 2 college in the south, or north, or east. Troy State would rank with other tier 2 schools, it may rank towards the bottom of the list of tier 2 schools, but its better than ANY tier 3 or 4 school. Its not a highly regarded school niether are any other non major state schools. That doesnt mean they are jokes. T

I didn't say that it was a joke or worthless. I agree with you actually. It's not highly regarded.

Its not poorly regard either. Its your typical non major state university. Its like going to an auxillary school of a major University. Its like going to UT San Antonio, or Texas A&M Commerce, eh not that bad, lets say A&M Corpus Christi. These aren't major schools, but they aren't that bad. They are what they are.

You've said your personal opinion was that they are poorly regarded. I asked for evidence to support your opinion, and all you can do is restate your opinion. Again, you repeatedly insulted and attacked me. Stop painting yourself off as a victim.

Now, again, it is of my opinion that a school that is ranked 2nd tier in a southern only ranking of non-doctoral schools is not highly regarded. It seems fairly poor to me.

My proof is that it's a tier 2 (with 2 campuses as 4th) southern non-doctoral school.

Post some evidence to support your opinion. I've already posted plenty to support mine. Saying you suck your friend off is not insinuating anything about your sexual status. Sucking someone off or sucking up to them has never meant someone was homosexual. Stop trying to play that card with me. I can shut you down quick there. And yes, you are an elitist asshole. You've already said that Troy State was poorly regarded even though every national ranking place disagrees. Either you are elitist or stupid. Pick one.

As for being a prick, I think it's fairly obvious that you TRY to be a prick, but it is really hard for a nancy-boy like you to come off as tough and mean. You sound more like a whining little poodle or shi-tzu to me. Yapping at my ankles because you want my respect.

Ah, but I am not him. I may have said it once, just like you brought up my school.

And they said it was poorly regarded, whereas Kaplans, US News, and others have said it is middle of the road. Middle of the Road 2nd tier is not poorly regarded. If they stopped personally attacking me, then there might not be a need for me to defend myself.

Again, I didn't really attack you at first. You said that I was possibly homosexual, an elitist asshole, and a prick.

Again, you repeatedly insulted and attacked me. Stop painting yourself off as a victim.

Now, again, it is of my opinion that a school that is ranked 2nd tier in a southern only ranking of non-doctoral schools is not highly regarded. It seems fairly poor to me.

Again, a 2nd tier ranked school in a southern only non doctoral ranking is poorly regarded. That is where I based my OPINION on. You seem to have a hard time grasping this.

Now you're just whining b/c I said something in AL is poorly regarded.

What an idiot.

Again, don't tell me your life story or plans. I really don't care about you.

Again, all I've been saying since the beginning is that Troy State has a poor reputation. That's it. And depending on what your standards are, then it is poorly regarded. It's not completely worthless, but it's poorly regarded overall.

So stop posting here with irrelevant information.

Like I said, I understand your jealousy, but you will just have to get over it. Let me know when you graduate and I will offer you a job one day. Maybe you can cut my grass or do my taxes?

Nah, I don't think that I'd mow the lawn inside of a trailer park.

I bought a brand new house in Birmingham about 6 months ago. Do you want pictures, or do you want me to get the mower fueled up for you?

Well, I wouldn't be able to mow your lawn while you have all of your cars on blocks in your lawn.

I'm sure my A4 and heavily modded Mustang won't fit in my basement. I'm actually selling the Mustang. Want to buy it for about 35K?

lol

You're the one telling us about your life as if you're trying to get respect. Nobody cares.

Like I said, my proof is the US News rankings.

What an idiot.

And I asked you to support your opinion with evidence. Post an article that says people think Tier 2 schools are "poorly" regarded.
