You keep accusing me of being on a tangent, but he NEVER ONCE asked if it was nationally recognized. He asked if it was a joke.

Yes, it's with other respected and recognizable universities such as University of North Alabama, University of Central Arkansas, etc.

Lets not forget Marshell. And YOU CAN COMPARE IT TO TIER 2 schools in other regions, thats what rankings are for. Its better than you are making it out to be.

It may very well be - however it's still not highly regarded. That was the original comment and that's what Mill is whining about. Again, it probably wouldn't even rank in the top 250 US schools.

Give it up Mil, you're obviously fighting just to argue here. I mean come on, it's not even highly regarded in Alabama. I grew up in Al and everyone I knew made fun of it. Seriously, if it's ranked tier two Southern non Doctoral i probably wouldn't be in the top 250 in a national ranking.

No, I'm not arguing to argue. I'm simply saying a Master's Degree from Troy State is a valid degree and the school is about mid-range for this area of the country.

Well I'm not arguing about that. I'm saying that Troy St. is not a highly regarded school at the national level

You can cry about how it's highly regarded in 'this area of the country' if you're referring to your backyard.

JustinT is in the South... so it is regarded in HIS area of the country, asshat.

It's not even highly regarded in the South, except for you of course.

When did JustinT ask if it was "highly" regarded. He asked if it was a joke.

He asks how it's regarded. It's not very well regarded. Simple answer for a simple question which you won't let go because of your such low standards stemming from your stint as a criminal justice major.

What is your fixation with me being a Criminal Justice major? What the hell do you think JustinT was? I plan to go to law school or go into Law Enforcement, so it suits my needs just fine. Before you bitch like a little whore, you are the one who keeps bringing it up. My father was a VP at Bruno's without a college degree. Whoops! There goes your idea that you need a degree from Harvard to do any more than bag groceries.

That's nice. I said it was poorly regarded. And then you attacked me. This isn't about him - it's with you and me.

How much more are you going to try to change the argument? You've basically lost this one.

And I was right, it isn't "poorly" regarded. Compared to the other 10,000 Universities and colleges in the nation it is middle of the road. Poorly regarded might be East Western Community College for the Nonsensical.

Wow, talk about low standards. It is poorly regarded if it's a 2nd tier non-doctoral Southern school. Maybe you're getting all angsty because you have very low standards.

It's not highly regarded, well regarded, decently regarded. Of course it's a matter of opinion since everyone has their own scale. Of course, Mill's brutish nature kicks in and all this starts up.

Have you ever been there before? Maybe visited or anything like that? My brother went there for two years. They are pretty well known for their stellar academics and that they win lower Division football championships like every year.

Where did that come from? We're talking about school ranking/reputation here, not about what are the requirements to become a grocery bagger.

"Poorly" regarded is what I took issue with, because it is obvious that it isn't poorly regarded. I never argued for one bit that it was highly regarded or anything more than a middle of the road Tier 2 school.

Grocery Bagger? I don't think being a VP at Bruno's qualified him as a Grocery bagger. I'd appreciate it if you didn't cut on him since he is dead. The plane crash he died in is the reason they have the Tournament.

Its not in the top 250, but as I stated before, there arent anyother tier 2 colleges in the top 250 either. Heck some tier 1s dont even make the cut of top 250. Tier 2 colleges are Tier 2 colleges, it doesnt matter the region. Thats not how rankings work. A tier 2 college in the west IS comparable to a tier 2 college in the south, or north, or east. Troy State would rank with other tier 2 schools, it may rank towards the bottom of the list of tier 2 schools, but its better than ANY tier 3 or 4 school. Its not a highly regarded school niether are any other non major state schools. That doesnt mean they are jokes. T

Where did I say you need a college degree? Settle down and let your blood cool down, Mr. Criminal Justice.

Maybe because you keep attacking me for the choice of my degree?

JustinT asked if TSU is a joke. Not if it was nationally recognized or if it was a Top 50 school trying to usurp Harvard or MIT. It's obviously not a joke if it is in the 2nd tier with plenty of other recognizable Universities and Colleges.

It's not highly regarded, well regarded, decently regarded. Of course it's a matter of opinion since everyone has their own scale. Of course, Mill's brutish nature kicks in and all this starts up.

"Poorly" regarded is what I took issue with, because it is obvious that it isn't poorly regarded. I never argued for one bit that it was highly regarded or anything more than a middle of the road Tier 2 school.

Again, it's poorly regarded. A 2nd tier non-doctoral school in a Southern only ranking would not be highly regarded to me. I'm sure many people have this opinion. It probably wouldn't even rank in the top 250 US schools.

So if it isn't "highly" regarded it is "poorly" regarded. Nice to see a nice logical non-biased conclusion there.

Where did I say that? Yes, it's poorly regarded in my opinion.

Since you've obviously lost this argument, you're just trying to make up new arguments. Nice!

And Marshall, Montevallo, University of Tampa, Carson-Newman, etc.

That's quite a list there. I know that when I was growing up everyone talked about how the wanted to go to Carson-Newman

I didn't say that it was a joke or worthless. I agree with you actually. It's not highly regarded.

Ah, but I am not him. I may have said it once, just like you brought up my school.

No, my reading skills are fine. Your skills are obviously lacking.

Your school was brought up as comparison to Troy State. How does my degree have anything to do with Troy State? I had plenty high enough ACT and GPA to go to a top notch school and major in anything I wanted. I didn't like Broadcast Meteorology as much as I thought so I settled on something else. Again, why does my major matter so much? I can afford to major in that and be a Police Officer or the like and be ok with that. I'm happy with my place in society. I'm not insecure enough to think that a degree is going to make me revered in society. What you accomplish in life and how people remember you is a lot more important than where you went to school. That's the whole point of what I am saying. You don't have to have an MBA from Harvard for people to like or respect you.

Again, don't tell me your life story or plans. I really don't care about you.

Again, all I've been saying since the beginning is that Troy State has a poor reputation. That's it. And depending on what your standards are, then it is poorly regarded. It's not completely worthless, but it's poorly regarded overall.

So stop posting here with irrelevant information.

Nah, I'm not upset that you are both jealous of me. I can pick what I really want to do in life and know that I am financially secure no matter what job I choose. I can pick my childhood dream job and not worry about if I have enough money to buy a house.
