Definitely an interesting move, cancel the 8 channel variant to leave only the 16 channel platform.
The AP models haven't sold very well, even by newer node Xeon standards. It's basically cancelling it.
I'm assuming the issue is Foundry related. What's it going to take to get them to fab Xeons at TSMC?
