Yup. Every time he opens his mouth it's a risk. Plain and simple.

He has had so many gaffs and fuck-ups already, that it's already practically a comedy show.

And I get it - Trump has some stupid things to the point where he has normalized it.... but Biden takes it from stupid to full moron with things like "Poor kids are just as talented as white kids" and "If you don't vote for me you ain't black"... Those are EPIC levels of stupid towards the EXACT people he is targeting to vote for him.

Whatever debates we get between Trump and Biden are going to be... interesting...

Biden is good with prepared speeches and statements -- it's the off-the-cuff things that are risky, and at least he'll apologize if he said something stupid (ah, remember the days when a presidential candidate would express humility?).

There was a piece not long ago that suggested Biden was doing what worked for presidential candidates in the late 19th and early 20th centuries: campaigning by staying at home and generally avoiding public speeches that might include embarrassing slip-ups. Biden didn't exactly volunteer for this strategy, of course, but it's working for him. Trump, meanwhile, is such a pathological narcissist that he'll insist on making a fool of himself no matter how much his allies urge him not to.

I've done a few Siena polls, two of which i never finished due to triple negatives and overtly bizarre question delivery. We shall see.

NYT/Siena gets an A+ rating
Siena by itself gets an A- rating

They are the gold standard and their polling has been reliable and proven cycle after cycle.

Can you "hear" the country now? It's time for this old coot to leave the "corrupt" house and let an experienced, well liked and accomplished Senator, Vice President to take over. Biden take the helm away from this actor, imbecile and pretender of a President. The country has had enough of your foolishness.

Calm the fuck down everybody.
I’m superstitious and honest complete truth.
I knew Hillary Clinton lost when I read about the expensive fireworks and the expensive hotel with the glass ceiling.

Long haul to go.

Pretty remarkable to have Biden leading Trump with the over 65's. This poll is consistent with other polls released these past several weeks. If this holds, November is going to be a rout for both Trump and the GOP.
I hope the GOP get's absolutely routed. Must get the Senate back. Bring majority rule back.

Aggregate these-

It's not over until it's over, for sure. OTOH, it seems to me that Trump's mistakes so far will likely prove fatal. Maybe you can explain to us how he can turn this around.

Whether a politician is Mean/Nice, Stupid/Smart, or Racist/Inclusive ranks far down the list of priorities for People who struggle each day just to survive. This is why when a Politician promises Change, Democrat or Republican, they receive support, even despite poor track records or the apparent vileness of the candidate.

If Biden wins in November and, fingers crossed, Trump steps down without incident, the danger to the US will not subside until the People's concerns once again become the priority of Government.
Obviously a politician who is "nice," "smart," and "inclusive" is more apt to go to bat for the little guy then a shithead who only cares about serving his 1%er donors and getting reelected. So, no, your argument there is leaky.

I grant that the Democratic Party is beholden to moneyed interests. I would welcome any and all measures that blow up the two party system in America and force coalitions going forward... bring in Green Party and others into real and significant policy decisions.

The last three election cycles. I’ll trust 538 over some random no one on the internet.

I mean even Fox News polling which is skewed right has Trump behind Biden in swing states and even in Texas.

There is no turning back the ultra stupid Covid tests statement. Could be his Waterloo. This doesn't take away my personal convoluted questions poll experience.

I'll believe Biden taking Georgia or Texas (or MS!) when I see it, but the simple fact that it's looking like the GOP may have to spend resources in places like that and not treat them like absolute gimmees is pretty danged significant.

Trump is in deep shit everywhere with seniors over the pandemic, particularly in places where it's getting really bad thanks to the governors doing Trump's bidding. That includes TX & GA, also AZ & FL. Biden might sweep them all along with WI, MI, NC & PA.

This is my feeling as well - I find it hard to believe Biden would win those states but the fact that they are competitive means Trump is in trouble.

Minnesota is being flooded with an ad showing clips of Biden stumbling and rambling in his speeches, attacking his "old" policies, and ensuring us that he will be bad for the economy. Must be on TV at least 5 times per day.

So the attacks have begun. Biden looks good in the polls now in MN, and I am sure he will win the metro area. The question is, will the more conservative outstate vote be enough to swing it to Trump. I dont think so, but especially with the unrelenting attack ads and no counter response yet from the Dems, anything is possible.

So what? There's that pesky reality of the pandemic & massive protests against institutional racism. Trump is on the losing side of all that. Meanwhile, the Biden campaign & the Lincoln project are killing it in social media. That was the key to Trump's win in 2016, remember?
