You're doing a false equivalence of "I don't support Biden therefore I must support Trump"

That is quite the opposite, and I hold you (of all the lib-cucks here) to a higher standard to be able to realize that yourself. This isn't difficult.

Also Trump has said plenty of stupid shit - he hasn't said the equivalency of "You ain't black...." if you don't vote for my white ass....

This is an either or election. No pussyfooting around. If you aren't for Biden but are for some dumb 3rd party candidate you are saying I support the status quo and the President.

Debates? Biden should say he won't be complicit in providing a platform for Trump's lies- that he'll have to find his own.

I doubt if Trump would participate in a debate but if he did then they need to have a team of fact checkers on site to Immediately refute his lies. Then Trump would run off the stage yelling "fake news".

As of now the debates are on and for some strange reason the President wanted more debates this cycle however he also wanted more control over whom the moderators were.

I bet he doesn't show up.

Fall to pieces... the EU just said, stay away Americans unless you are high priority, we don't want your failed asses on our continent, not until you have your shit together. Better luck next POTUS! The current one lives in a fantasy world, not the real world. He keeps spinning absurd fantasies. If you vote for him, you are fucking yourself over.

Take a good look at Joe Biden's face (mask on or off). That's your next president. Vote for him!
Yea, that image of Biden wearing a black mask and aviator sunglasses is one that I can never un-see!! Watch out Tom Cruise (Top Gun), Joe is coming for you.

Biden told a bunch of rich people at a fundraiser where he raised $2M that he was going to reverse the Trump tax cuts and everybody was basically fine with it because they assume that's just the going price of stability right now.

I think it would be a mistake to miss how so much of the country has Trump chaos exhaustion and wants a breather.

People will start voting in some swing states in late September. Much of the country could cast ballots before the second presidential debate even happens.

Sure but that wasn’t what was asked/stated.

I’m of the mind that they are irrelevant.

Agreed. On the current trajectory, Trump won't be winning any uncommitted voters & Biden doesn't want to give him the chance. Trump needs a miracle.

Joe gave a pretty good press conference today and I was not only impressed, I was much more confident that Joe could and would be a damn good president. I'd like to know if Joe wrote those words himself or had someone else write for him? But I believe Joe would be a pretty good president and at least Joe is on the right track when it comes to the pandemic. Wearing masks, social distancing, focusing on supplies and treatment. AND.... getting the nation involved by enacting the defense production act. WE NEED THE DEFENSE PRODUCTION ACT, AND MORE SO IF AND WHEN A VACCINE IS RELEASED. Think about THAT....
THINK ABOUT THAT...... !!!!!!!!
Seriously......

If a vaccine is found AND were released for the general population, WE WILL NEED the defense production act to assure the vaccine is produced on a massive scale AND.... assure that people can get those shots on a massive scale.
With this current piss-poor president Donald Trump and his never ending pandemic denial, THAT NATIONAL ORCHESTRATED RESPONSE would never happen. Trump would never fully enact the defense production act but would instead leave it all up to the states. Just as with testing and treatment.

There was a prepared statement section where he was pretty clearly reading off the teleprompter. I'd assume that section was, at a minimum, a collaborative effort. Which is fine! There was also a Q&A section, where he would have had to speak a bit ore off-the-cuff. My general impression remains fairly constant - he's not exciting but seems basically fine to me. Which is arguably exactly what this country needs right now, even if I'll readily agree that it's not a long-term recipe for success.

Q&A session starts here:
(Check out his reaction to be asked about the debates @28:45)

Given Trump's truly miserable and inept performances in the 2016 debates-couple with the fact that he won (via electoral college) I have to agree, debates are pretty much irrelevant. The only thing they will do is show Biden head to head versus Trump and put all those "sleepy Joe" and Joe is senile claims to bed, once and for all.

Trump’s campaign has set the bar so low calling him senile that if he doesn’t literally die on stage the debates will have zero impact.

A couple polls show Biden with a narrower lead (+4, +6) but then another poll shows +10. What's interesting is that the pollster is Rasmussen.

The most red-leaning pollster in the entire country. If Trump is down by 10 in their poll, he's in very serious trouble.

the fact Donald is polling anywhere above 1 percent tells me Fox News has more control over this country than any other single entity.

538’s average shows Biden at around +10.
I think history shows they are the best in the business.

Yes, I'm aware (+9.5 actually). In fact, I linked to the Rasmussen poll from 538. I just wanted to point out that Rasmussen showing Biden up by 10 is remarkable given that IIRC Clinton never led that poll by more than +3, and Trump led it half the time.
