Also for some more insight into what a giant piece of shit Biden is....

This is real dumb commentary. Yes the polls are worrying, hence my posts. But the hosts commentary is useless. I stopped after he said Biden can't even read a statement. One thing Biden does do is read statements better than Donald Trump, who sounds low energy and meanders off script into la la land as often as he can. Case in hand? Biden's speech vs Trump's speech at the conventions. No wonder you post some drivel, these are the videos that seem excellent to you.

How 'bout dem poll numbers?

A few things to be mindful of here

1) In 2016 pollsters did not often weight by education which lead to bigger misses at state level inflating the Clinton lead

2) RCP changes the polls it included in avg so it's hard to make an apples to apples comp

3) Biden is near, at, or above 50% in some of those states which Clinton never hit. Trump has failed to reach 50% at any point AFAIK in most if not all and 3rd party vote is going to be FAR smaller than 2016.

See the parts where he goes into what a douche Biden was - lying that he had 3 degrees and "graduated in the top half of his class"... which itself is hilarious, saying you're in the top half of your class is saying "I'm sort of better than the failed students".... Turns out - it was complete BS. He had 1 degree and didn't graduate in the top half lol.

Biden says some dumb shit. That degree thing is addressed the article below where Biden explains and apologizes for something that happened once, in 1987. What's striking is that Biden has one thing Trump will never have, humility and the ability to admit they can be wrong and hotheaded. And compared to Trump lying as he breathes, for his entire life, Biden is a holy truthteller, so your and this hosts faux concern is duly noted:

Every election is unique. This has a whole different feel to it than 2016. Democratic voters were successfully propagandized & splintered in 2016 leading to low turnout & silliness of voting third party because she was gonna win anyway, remember? That didn't happen & the results have been disastrous so the perspective has changed considerably. We'll be there for Biden, bet on it. So will a lot of one time Trump voters, I figure.

Michael Moore warns that Donald Trump is on course to repeat 2016 win
Alarming thoughts.

Is he a broken clock, or is there truth to it?
Was never a fan of Michael Moore, but he makes some very good points about this.

He is spot on about the enthusiasm of Trumps base and the lack of same for Biden. Latest polls I have seen even in Minnesota show Trump tied or just a few points behind. I dont really understand the change because the Dems did the convention very well, while the Rep convention was a shit show of lies, ass kissing, and misinformation from start to finish.

But I have said all along the "not Trump" metric is not enough. This narrowing of the polls makes it essential for the Dems to mount a strong campaign, and for Biden to do well in the debates.

We have not had really much in the way of good state level polling either way lately and I wouldn’t expect a lot until sometime after Labor Day.

Joe has a long history for oppo to try and exploit. Trump does as well, but his base doesn't care. Hopefully a large number of 'moderates' switch over after watching the horror show that is the Trump's administration.

Buckle up Buckeroos!

Trump is gaining steam in the polls - It basically looks like it did in 2016.

BUT DONT WORRY GUYS! YOU GOT THIS! No need to get out to vote or anything.

Probably shouldn't have picked an idiot that prosecutes and dumps tons of minorities in jail for non-violent crimes, eh? Maybe for once in your existence you should listen to the loud progressive voices screaming in your ear.

For once we mostly agree.
The Democrat Party really needs to sell fear better because it works as seen by your poll.

I still find it odd that Trump and his surrogates still demand Biden "come out of the basement" and talk about how poor Trump's record and actions are (which the public overwhelmingly agrees with) which he does effectively.

They're also back on the "Biden is near death or catatonic" stuff again.

For the democrats to pass any of their agenda they're going to have to engineer the scuttling of the filibuster first. Passing HR1 again would probably do it. Then they can go wild.

I am all for killing the filibuster. No longer serves a purpose since its been so over used.
Sure some shit will get over turned or some turds get appointed regardless that’s great. Imagine a 2016 Republican Congress defending why they thought it was a good idea to kill the ACA especially today with Corona treatment.
Regarding Turds getting appointed it has been proven Republicans will appoint turds regardless of the filibuster.

Craziest of all is the "this is what Joe Biden's America will be like" in regards to the violence, when in actuality it is already happening in Donald Trump's America. The Dems need to hammer this point home relentlessly. I was glad to hear the Portland mayor finally call out Trump and his '"good people" on this, but it needs to be stressed over and over again. So far Biden seems very focused (rightly) on covid, but he needs to attack Trump just as relentlessly on his spreading of hatred and division.

Edit: it would also be nice to hear some of the Democrats actually saying this *is* a great country, even though we still have systemic unresolved problems that need to be addressed.
