"where are you seeing the $15 taken right off the price of the JAMP3? "

Markers Subtotal: $14.97
Taxes: $1.11
Shipping: $0.00
Total: $16.08

JamP3 Subtotal: $39.99
Taxes: $1.86
Misc Charge: ($15.00)
Shipping: $0.00
Total: $26.85

Wasn't this how yours printer out?

"They do not care about the "price lower than rebate", it is not in the online rules they use when they process the rebate"

I'm just reading the on line coupon itself which is the only rules I can see from the link, and it simply states that the PURCHASE price, not the RETAIL price, must be more than the rebate itself, which mine shows as $26.85 PURCHASE price no matter what order I put the markers or MP3 player.

It's got me worried enough to cancel the order, I don't need a $26.85 MPs player. Anyone call on this yet to find out?

IMHO
I have called the rebate phone # on other kb gear stuff before because of the wording . They told me not too worry !!

The purchase price is $39 the money deducted after (IMO) is NO concern to them they dont know what it is ! It could be a store gift certificate etc..... As far as the rebate itself and the wording of retailers and etailers Im not too worried because when:

I go to buy the player from their website web it has a link telling me I can buy from officedepot then I go on the SAME website [/L]rebate and they have a rebate for $30 there ....I dont see the problem.......again this is only MY opinion

It is posted on their KBGEARS website as a rebate offer it makes NO reference to a particular retailer (Like the DYMO deal which stated only Buy.com or Amazon.com)

well, I just got done installing the software (win98se) and downloaded some mp3s onto the jamP3. doesn't sound that bad. the unit is big, about twice as large as i remember my rio pmp300 being. not too bad a deal to hold me off until cd mp3 players fall in price. now we need a blazing hot deal on a mmc card! at office depot they were having troubles getting the 15off50 coupon to work. i am glad that i ordered it online for pick-up. they just gave it to me along with the sharpies for the $42.16 that my online order sheet said.

Where is this printing? I have not picked mine up yet (I ordered it for pickup) but when I went to my online receipt it just showed everything totalled with the $15 off at the end. I would just use that as the receipt, personally.

Why cancel it? I already got mine. Just ordered this morning, went and picked it up myself this afternoon, just to be sure. :)

The thing's abit flimsy, but by no means POS. the MusicMatchbox Jukebox appz comes with it as software, and uploader. It worked fine in Win2k. But when I tried to upload to JamP3 under Win2k, but didnt' seem to want to work right. Something wrong with the drivers they supplied, my Win2k USB can't get it connected. I fiddled with it for 10min, and gave up.

I then went to Win98, and that worked like a charm. The quality's not bad at all, but does seem to use up my battery pretty quick. I had a fullcharge put in, and 1hr later it's down to 75% or so. Most of the time was wasted on trying get USB right, so when it's playing, it maybe not so bad. The 16mb is abit small...so I have to reduce the bitrate down to 64kbps if I want to fit 8-10 songs. that's the only draw back of this player.

Anyway, for a little MP3 player, it'll do for me fine. Great for jogging, or other trips. HOT DEAL. :)

The Jam P3 player needs expansion slot for industry standard multi-media card memory. Anyone has idea about this multi-media
card? Smartmedia card or CompactFlash card?

Also, my order has two order numbers, one is "3 Days Delivery
Pending", another one is "Waiting to Fill", what do they mean?
And the delivery date of them is 6/25/01, will I be charged
by two delivery?

Thx for your answer!

GundamF91 you are the one to answer this, I don't want to beat a dead horse, but what does the price of the JamP3 reflect on the OfficeMax reciept? What I get from OfficeMax order confirmation is the total price of the player as $26.85? Does it actually show $39.99 somewhere on the reciept? Thanks

Did your confirmation print out as two reciepts? I have a '3 Days Delivery Pending' for the JamP3 Total: $26.85 and a second order 'waiting to fill' markers for Total: $16.08 maybe that's the problem with mine? Guess just have to wait and see what turns up at my door next week, it wouldn't let me pick it up from the store.

om, yeah, my order is the same one as yours. I was surprised to see a order has two order numbers with two separate price-calculation, which is unbelievable. And two order numbers mean two separate delivery?

Anyone could give an explanation on that?

This sounds like the same phenomenon as Staples exhibits when you place an order with both electronics/software and office stuff. They ship the office stuff from their own warehouse, and the electronics from a reseller like Ingram or Merisel. Thus the split orders. This is why you end up with a big box with just an eraser in it when you do this with Staples.

just wanted to thank Tokeniso for posting the thread. i was lucky enough to have been able to pick-up the jam from office depot. i have played with my P3 a little bit more and i can't seem to change the bit rate using the bit-rate limit. it spends some time resampling and then, just before it is almost done, win98se tells me that the program performed an illegial operation. oh and while i am on the subject, does anyone know if this will play vbr mp3s? overall the unit is a fun little toy and i like the idea of it not costing anything. one more quick question that jumps to mind...does anyone think that the transfer rate is a little slow? i have used my friends rio500 attached to an i-opener with the stock 200 processor, and the transfer rate was much quicker. is there anyway to increase the rate? thanks again, beatniks3

The price? It's listed as $39.99 or so on my receipt/packinglist. They didn't give me a "typical" B&M receipt. It's just a print out from their computer I assume. The manager signed "charged and verified". This packinglist should be good enough, but just to be sure I added a printout of the order. Both case, the JamP3's listed as $39.98, and then $15 is deducted from the subtotal right before tax. I'm not sure what you'll see if they split your order into two, which seems weird to me.

Oh, the sharpies are cool too. ;) one pen-thin tip, and one traditional thick.

Just to be specific, I didn't have "split orders". two items are placed as one order.

I don't know if the RebateCompany would hassel you for having a lower item price than the rebate amount. Just hope your packing slip shows both items. If not, you should send them both, and let them you know you paid for the MP3 player at full price. (that $15 off is just a bonus the retailer gave you).

U don't get to choose, unless you actually buy it in B&M (if they have other colors).

The Online OfficeDepot only had SILVER COLORED JamP3. The last letter in their item number, "S", means silver. :)

ANd I don't see anywhere on JamP3 that says it doesn't work with OfficeDepot. I don't believe there'll be any problems with this rebate.
