I picked up my order at OD today. I can now add them to the growing list of B&M stores that just do not handle online orders well. When I got there at 2pm, which was much later than the time they said to allow (I ordered at 5:15pm yesterday), the order had not been pulled yet. One person went to find the 3 different styles of pens that I had ordered, and then another person was to go get the JamP3 from the locked area. After about 10 minutes the first set of pens arrived. More than 5 minutes later the other employee showed up, with the JamP3 and a second set of pens. Is it so hard for them to actually pull the order when it comes in so I can walk it, pick it up and leave and not waste 15-20 minutes in the store?

it can be detected under Win2k as Mass Storage USB Devices, for 16mb, you can't store much. ;)

In fact, I can't use it as a normal MP3 unit under win2k, only works as legit Mp3 player under Win98. In Win2k, the player need to be mounted as a "drive". After that, you can transfer the MP3 from WindowsMediaPlayer7 to this device to upload songs. abit of a hassle, but what the heck, it's FREE! :D

I bought this player at Xmas just before Etoys went out of business ($25 with rebate for free memory). It made my child very happy to think he had an MP3 player; however, the quality is poor. The volumne is low and you have to really knock dowen the quality of MP3's down to get many songs on it. However, it was in his bookpack for about 3 months and still works. He hasn't used it since I bought the TEAK Cd Burner and cheap CDR's. I didn't think another one was worth the $10 shipping in my area. Still would make a great gift if you didn't pay for shipping.

Well, I *had* two of these on order. I thought they might be nice cheapies for jogging, etc. But you guys and the bad reviews made me decide to cancel. Not worth the hassle for a junker and a questionable rebate.

What's the next best deal on a portable mp3 player? I've got an old Rio 300 but I can't get it to work under Win2000 (even with the "dreaming of brazil" program). I had the Tavauras MP3/CD player...poor quality. Any others?

They paid you to take it SO WHAT if it sucks its not that bad for free IHMO. Its great for someone to mess with who is not heavy into the portable mp3 player scene Hey personaly I would never buy this type of product if I was putting out my own cash. But for free (even made a few bucks on it) I will pop a few song in it from time to time if I need some jogging music ......... Plus I got 12 GREAT sharpie markers for free which I will use every day..
So for some it MIGHT SUCK for others its a good deal. especially for giving to kids

MM cards are getting old and are $$$$. Player isn't all that great either. You might be getting a white elephant here.

U guys just don't get it. IT's FREE!! (if you notice, those that saying this sucks are the ones who have to pay extra to have it shipped ;))

It's free, so no matter how cheap Jamp3 is, it's free~!! I like the sound it produces, definitely loud enough for me. 16mb sure aren't enough for more than 4-5 128kbps tracks, but I might reduce the bitrate, and not having to pay for extra memorycard. Either way, it's free, and comes with a pair of nice earphones, usb cables. Oh don't forget the 12 sharpies! They are great!! 4 colors each pack, comes with thick and thin tip on each end. Very useful.

ONE OF THE BEST DEAL I'VE EVER SEEN!

I think he's talking about the brag part guys...good deal even if we dont get the rebate IMO. Ebay has used jamp3 players selling for about $30-$50. We got it for less and its NEW....besides why are so many skeptical about the rebate??? Nothing states that it must be from ________

not seeing the marker rebate... When I select "office equipment" all I see is rebates for electronic kind of stuff (phones, copiers, printers)

Also, could someone PM me the 15 off of 50 rebate, or is it easy to find on the net? I haven't searched yet.
