OP, did you tailgate? Come on be honest. I was about to ask why did you cry over an accident but you said you are 19....must be the "cool/sensitive" thing to do these days for them youngings.

The car is totaled. The hood is gone, the bumper is gone, fender is mess up. Engine is probabably mess up too.

Why do you have full cover with low deductible for an old car? No way you will get full "retail" value of your car from the insurance company.

Live and learn, don't tail gate ..ever again.

One of the pictures for people not on Facebook

that is some BS. I rear ended someone when I was 18 and I got a ticket. We didn't report it to my insurance though, so my rates didn't go up. There was minimal damage to my car, though I did have to pay for a new bumper for the dude I hit (a teacher at my high school, lol).

Wow, I was 16 when I was mid air and hit a tree in my taurus (my one and only accident). That wasn't even close to the disaster this thread is.

They are going to fix that? The repair will cost more than just paying the book value for the car.

Why? Other than radiator it is all cosmetic.

Uhhh yea... thats exactly why they ARENT going to fix it. You cant exactly go to CVS and buy make-up to fix it. The cost of replacing and painting the parts and then add the labor for the body work and the engine repair > value of the POS car

You cried because you crashed a car while having full comprehensive insurance.... Seriously maybe crying could be excusable if crashing a $100,000 car with no insurance, but that'd be stupidity even before the crash.

Must be a generational thing. I'm 28 and none of my friends do that Facebook/MySpace shit.

It is. You're old.

No way, 28 isn't old.
Old is like, at least 29!

Uhm...I do not have facebook but I can see the pics just fine???
Oh, and to the OP, grow some balls and stop crying. And the car is totaled, get over it.
If, by some stretch of the imagination it is not totaled, they cannot force you to go to a particular body shop.

Without a doubt that car is totaled.

The body damage and labor will far outstrip the value of the car.

If they total it, they'll offer you a price to buy the car in its current condition. If it was as well cared for as you say, it might be worth buying it & using the total check to get it repaired at a cheaper shop.

When you see your new insurance premium, then you'll REALLY be crying. (Or your father if you don't pay your own expenses.)

well
tow truck came today to pick it up.....guy asked if the aibags deployed...in which they didnt.
the guy said that it was fixable, and prob wasnt totaled.
hopefully so
im not in the mood to go look for another car either.
i will buy it back probably if they total it...and get it fixed.
i didnt cry for real...its my first car, and i went to another state just to get it.
its of sentimental value...ill show pics before the accident...and you would agree the car was in pristine condition.
