Got into a accident today....a disaster =/

Disaster? On an old ass Accord with nearly 200k miles on it? Consider yourself lucky, because the insurance co will have to now fork up the value of the car which you can put towards a newer car. That damage is way more than what the car is worth, trust me.

Better than your car dying on you due to engine trouble, and then having to junk it anyway and buy a new car with no seed money from insurance

Eh, those accords are pretty much indestructible. My sister has a 1989 Accord with 255k miles on the original engine and automatic transmission. It runs great.

Eh, those accords are pretty much indestructible. My sister has a 1989 Accord with 255k miles on the original engine and automatic transmission. It runs great.

Its still not a disaster. The car is hardly worth anything, and no one got hurt. And my '91 Accord died after 130,000 miles and numerous other problems between 100-130k miles.

my car's suggested retail is around $4085
the car is not a beater...it was in EXCELLENT shape, paint, mechanically sound

Checking out some chick or dude on the side of the road? Or perhaps you were just following too close and just couldn't react quick enough to stop in time?

Either way, YOU were at fault in an entirely preventable accident. Just be glad it was some soccer mom in an exploder and not some guy on a motorcycle or you could have killed or seriously injured someone.

I would say that is more than $4085 in damage. My car which has similar damage to yours would have cost over $8000 to fix (it was worth $8000 and declared totaled).

I would say that is more than $4085 in damage. My car which has similar damage to yours would have cost over $8000 to fix (it was worth $8000 and declared totaled).

Not to mention that there is no way the insurance company will value your car at $4085. You'll be lucky to get $3000.

they said theyll fix it....i have full coverage on it...so i guess theyd better.

lol....full coverage just means you are protected in various situations. It has nothing to do on whether or not they will total the car. Seeing the pic, your car is toast. expect your check in the mail.

Sorry to hear about the accident.

But you should use this as a lesson. Always leave sufficient space between your car and the car in front of you and always pay attention when driving. I try and leave enough space between me and the car in front of me that if they slammed on their brakes, I would have enough room to brake and not hit their car.
