A lot has to do with your lifestyle. If you exercise and eat well and manage stress, then you will live much longer and trouble free even if your genes suck.
And even good genes won't save you from all the problems of sedentary lifestyle + fast food.
While some diseases are completely random and can happen to a person with healthy lifestyle due to genetics, MOST diseases can be prevented by exercises and good food.
Everyone should read Fast Food Nation by Eric Schlosser. Your library may have it.
re: "I workout a lot and eat fast food all I want". Great. You burn the calories but it's like burning dirty fuel. Your system is still affected by fast food.
