Yep, I knew it. I guess I'm going to have to turn myself in and enter some kind of intervention session for myself because I'm already starting to like the way Trump barfs up that now familiar "Fake Russia!!! Fake Media!!" ;)

I can only imagine what will happen if Mueller's investigation produces indictments that directly affect Trump or his family. Fox is going to twist itself into knots... and you'll practically see the aneurysm forming in Sean Hannity's brain.

Last I knew this was a story that no other news organization beside CNN has been able to confirm. CNN claims to have two independent sources but doesn't report anything of substance beyond the headline. As far as the charges being made public Monday, last I knew that was purely a matter of pundits' conjecture.

Mueller has a top notch, experienced team that is about as leak proof as anything in Washington can be. Plus we are talking about charges issued by a grand jury and currently under seal by a court, very leak proof in normal circumstances. I'm suspicious of this story, especially as it seems to me to be early for charges to be brought.

OTOH the Trump administration and lackeys have certainly ramped up their level of BS and deflection in the last few days, so maybe they do know something is going to happen.

Personally I'm going to wait to see what happens and when.

Reuters has its own story corroborating the claim. It's happening, and Trump's Twitter meltdown will be glorious.

How long will the court trial take after Mueller charge someone and they plead not guilty?

We could all stand to be a little more bored by our government.

I totally agree. However, Pence has been fiercely warming up in the bullpen ever since Trump hired him as a backup and the evangelists/fundamentalists in the party have been quietly lining up behind him ready to hit the road running. With an extremist fundamentalist like himself at the helm, I'm thinking being bored is about the last thing we're going to get out of him.

He's going to attempt to blur the line that separates church and state if he ever gets the chance and that should provide some pretty spectacular fireworks in and of itself.

edit - *Commentary based on the possibility that Trump will get kicked out of office for one the many treasonous reasons he's already committed.

My best estimate is not a single case in this matter will ever go to trial.
This is very possible but the case will basically stagnate the entire republican policy agenda and put everyone in contact with the trump campaign through the equivalent of a legal colonoscopy. It is a fantastic win for anyone who opposes the GOP.

I do love it.

Trump, Fox & the rest of the right wing noise machine have been going on about how Dems are the ones who are really complicit cuz Uranium! Cuz Fusion GPS! Cuz Hillary is still Eeevil! & we must investigate her investigators! Cuz Comey is a leaker! Cuz Mueller is under extreme pressure to resign!

It'll be really tough to distract from actual indictments. Federal prosecutors have a conviction rate above 90%, as well. They rarely prosecute weak cases, particularly high profile cases. They hate losing.

The other side of it is the rat factor & the paranoia it generates. They're all looking at each other funny over in Trumplandia. It's not like any of them are G Gordon Liddy... far from it. You can practically smell the sweat over the internet.

Disturbing realization just came to me. Here we are mulling over the fact that charges have been filed in relation to White House investigation..... and there are so many possibilities who the criminal could be.

The right wing has some balls. Comey and Mueller are both registered Republicans and yet they are out to get Trump because ... reasons. And the worse of it, is that many on right lap it up.

If that's the trade-off for not having to worry as much about nuclear obliteration, I'll gladly take it.

Happy to fight against theocracy without the specter of insanity clouding everything.

The Trump administration is a lot like frosted flakes because the controversy is great! I knew we wouldn't miss the Ringling Brothers & Barnum Bailey Circus with this bunch at the helm. I can't wait to see the facts when they are made public.:D

This modern witch hunt as Trump calls it must've just become the modern papal inquisitions in his eyes.

Even if Trump escapes the hangman's noose over this, Mueller should require our Big Liar in Chief to wear a lie detector strapped around his neck that delivers a nice piercing eye cocking jolt every time he utters a fib. Trump should also be restricted to the White House grounds and have his phone and golf clubs taken away in order fro him to actually get to work and deliver on his promises to give the middle class that nice hefty tax cut he's been blabbering about. (as if)

He'd rather spend out tax $$$ building His Wall than giving the working class a tax cut that's worth anything.

I can easily see Trump pardoning everyone and resigning. Pence then pardons Trump using Nixon as the precedent.

Anything less than Flynn or Manafort (the top two candidates, IMO) will be kind of a disappointment. I'm expecting disappointment.

Yep, gotta make up for those huge tax cuts he wants to give himself and his fellow aristocrats seeing as if he and his fellow Repubs are so fiscally responsible and everything (or so they like to say). ;)

Since Weissmann is involved with this it may turn out to be Flynns's son who was involved in the Turkish nonsense. That's what happened with Enron and that flipped a lot of people to cooperate.
