Yes this is what happened for me also. I loved the WOTLK and I did enjoy all the new lowbie content in Cata, but personally I found the 80-85 content to be a drag. Not that the zones weren't pretty or the story lines bad but for the me the heavy phasing and disjointed zones turned me off. Instead of feeling cohesive, everything felt disconnected. The Worg/Goblin areas were phased so you didn't have the option of leveling somewhere else from 1 as you could with every other race (exception being DK). I never thought I would say this but the focus on vertical movement actually irritated me. I like the flying mounts as a method of getting from place to place, but there is a definite tradeoff in immersion. In some ways I think flying mounts are doing more harm to the game than anything else, but thats just an opinion. I'm sure it isn't shared by many.

:p Anyways, I'm optimistic for Panda.

Thats one of the main reasons I got tired of WoW and eventually quit. Also the reason I couldn't get into SWTOR. Flying mounts in WoW I think turned the large world they created into a bunch of individual questing areas. Quest in one area, fly to the next, repeat. There became a real difference for me from playing the whole game and just 'questing'.

IMO panda must come out ~mid-summer at the latest. Absolutely must.

They booked people into the free Diablo III for 12 month commitment thing. They need Panda to come out with 3-4 months left on people's 12 month commitment so people who signed up for that commitment feel obligated to buy the Panda pack so they don't 'waste' 3-4 months of subscription fees.

The more time left on that 12 month commitment, the more people who are barely hanging on to WoW who will buy the expansion. The less time on that commitment remaining, the more people who are "on the edge" will decide to skip the Panda Pack.

Nonsense. They already have those folks locked up. A more likely scenario is just at the tail end of the 12 months. Maximum profit.

Blizzard had previously stated that the next expansion will be coming out much faster than Cata with an estimated release time of Spring 2012..summer at the latest. Cata took a lot longer due to the regearing of the low level game, whereas Panda will be a more straightforward expansion. Given they have recently announced that there will be no more major content patches until expansion I think it lends to that idea. Of course, this is Blizzard so it could also take till 2014.

Blizzard has been trying to stick to their 1.5 years per expansion model as I think they realize that their typical mantra of "delaying until it's ready" does not work with MMO expansions very well. Cataclysm was released in early December of 2010, which means that we should expect some Pandamonium around June.

they've said that for every release, yet they've all still managed about a 2 year timeframe.

Since I've never participated in any of the beta testing ... how does that line up with previous expansions and how long they were available for testing before release? Seems like it would be more than ~4 months to me.

It seems that Cataclysm is the first time that they're actually adhering to the 1.5 year plan.

Maybe I wasn't clear. I was asking when MoP would need to hit beta/PTR in order to go live in June. Based off of how long Cata/Wrath/BC were available to test before release.

There's some current belief that we'll be seeing Panda closer to the end of summer based on the press tour that was announced today. That speculation is using the time between the press tour and other events for Cataclysm and Wrath of the Lich King.

Just looked up my old guild and am kinda surprised that there are only 10 active raiders in the guild from last time I played that I remember. I guess a lot has changed in BL (complete removal and change of all leadership as well), ah a chick took my spot and is very well accepted apparently. Ah memories, almost wish I could still waste my days playing.

I think I recall some of their videos being posted on MMOC a month or so ago.

any tips on how to transfer just a little bit of money from my ally to my horde toon on the same server? Just use the cross-faction AH? My horde is just starting out so I can't get to Booty Bay or Area 51 yet. Or can I get to BB with some trick? I'm in Mulgore starting out. Don't know anyone else on Horde side.

I see three options...

1) Go from Thunder Bluff to Orgrimmar and run to Ratchet. I don't recall too many mobs along the path, so this might not be too bad.

2) Find someone that will take you there on their 2-person flying mount. You may have to end up paying them in the end to do so, but it should be ridiculously fast.

3) Create a Death Knight and use him to go to Booty Bay.

Start an orc, head towards the coast from the very "birth" point. jump in water and swim across to Ratchet (you won't set foot in Org). You'll get killed by an eel but rez at the ratchet point. Take the boat to BB.

Profit.

You cannot buy your own auctions. You need a second party to complete an AH transaction.

In looking for raid mode it's super easy.

DS is really easy on normal mode. The first seven can be two healed so you can steamroll through them. Then DW himself is three healed and you play repeat-a-platform with small adjustments. I have some friends on Kil'Jaeden and they had all of their alts with the Destroyer's End title.

We two-heal Madness of Deathwing.

I know it is possible but our guild didn't even want to try it out. The last phase they complained about. I told them to one tank and two heal it but they didn't want to. I honestly believe Madness can be steamrolled with 7 dps by my guild.

I've become really disenfranchised with my priest. I loved him from level 15-65ish but I have been having trouble really keeping interest in him.

He's 71 now and I don't want to quit him but I dunno what I'll do with him at level 85. I don't really like its 2 healing specs. I much prefer my shaman or paladin for healing. On top of that I think I'm bad at shadow in addition to not finding it fun to play. I'm always last on the dps charts in dungeon groups. Just makes me feel inept. I think I may quit him soon. :(
