It's always hard to please those who don't get the loot they want
I run my own guild, so maybe it's because of that I always find refreshing things to do (got to satisfy others.) From taking a group of people for achievements to the now popular Transmorg thing where everyone is making lists and the guild is helping each other get them.
Of course, I get those "what about me" members. The ones who aren't happy with progression - we're 6/7 25man (15 active guildies + 4 static pugs + whatever trade has) and 7/7 10man (all active guild raiders have 7/7). Sure, we don't have HMs under our belt - but our guild is a casual 2-day a week raiding guild who deviated to try to get the legendary (almost there!)
I tell those members "find something better, it won't offend me (or the guild) and basically might make things better for us that you stop whinning in guild chat."
I finally rolled a horde toon, turns out this mentallity of "grass greener on the otherside" I've heard is beyond make-believe. Haha. The part I find the most amusing - I seemed to join a Horde Guild that had the same issues my Guild just overcame.
The shared lock outs is a blessing to me. Before I felt I had to do 25mans to stay "competitive" with some of my peers. I was doing 10+25 mans on 5 toons (out of boredom I guess) and now I've eased up. I got 7/7 on three toons, and am happily grinding my alts away.
