Do we have a lot of "vanilla" players in this thread? I have an interesting thought experiment.
Lets say the next raid's first encounter is an perfect mechanical re-creation of Lucifron.

All stats, abilities, damage, and other values would be scaled up perfectly so that Tier 12 geared players would be hit as hard as green geared players were hit by original lucifron.
Abilities:
* Impending Doom: AoE Magic De-buff much like call of the grave. 10 seconds to dispell everyone possible, or they receive an instant 2000~ damage.
2000 damage to a vanilla green-geared 60 was about 50%-70% of their max hp. I'm not active currently, but I understand a tier 12 geared non-tank would have something around 150k hp, sound right? So neolucifron's doom would do 90k damage.
* Lucifron's Curse: This curse will increase mana/rage/energy cost of all abilitys by 100%
Unchanged, except to add focus to list of ability costs increased.
* Lucifron's adds also have a spell called Dominate Mind, much like a Priest version of Mind Control. This can be dispelled by a Priest's dispel, but CANNOT be dispelled by a Paladin's cleanse since it only works on friendly targets. For Horde, Shamans are able to Purge this if a Priest is not able to.
Unchanged.
Would it be too easy, too hard, or "just right"? My friend who currently raids thinks it would be a joke, as in his opinion raiders today are much better players overall than the original molten core raiders. I'm not so sure, I feel like the modern raid design is very predictable and controlled and the chaos of a boss + 2 adds + mind controls would wreck a raid of players who have just been training to stand where the boss mod tells them to stand.
