I feel very sad ignoring this thread ....
I do check it from time to time .... But i miss this game so much ...

I tried to play it again , but got bored ...
I miss old days ... where it was an EPIC game .. RIP WoW ... they ruined it ..

This game was one of the best games in History ... What a hella of fun it was ...
I Hope that someday i will get the same feeling playing a game like i did with WoW ...

Oh wow... I really don't like tanking Zul'Aman much. Zul'Gurub was incredibly easy in comparison to that evil trash that stuns you! :| It would be more helpful if my groups would actually have CC in them, or if the players that can CC don't just leave when they get the piece of gear that they want! :|

That's not the games fault thats just you being jaded with it. Happens with every game once you've played it and gotten really good at anything you stop noticing the little things about it that amazed you before.

Unless you get some really good dps most will not CC in there. Its generally because they're pushing for a bear run and they feel that not CCing will speed things up. Its a pain in the ass

This is why tanks generally know instances/which mobs to CC/kill order better. :awe:

Everyone should have a tank, gives a better perspective of the game, well at least 5 mans...

I think people just kind of like being told what to do. Even when I used to tank normal heroics, I noticed that maybe 5% of the DPS just kind of did their own thing. They knew what to CC and just did it when necessary. 80% of the people are willing to listen to marks and stuff, but have 0 initiative to just CC something (at least something -- it doesn't pull anymore!), and the other 15% is just the failsauce. :p

I like the 5% when I'm tanking!

I agree, but I also wouldn't restrict that to just tanks. It's very helpful to understand every role, because it allows us to make better decisions that avoid inconveniencing our fellow players. As a Rogue, I had no idea that the Axe Throwers had a knock down effect that they used on the tank. I know that they have an annoying knock back AoE (I use Feint to help mitigate that).

So as a tank, I was being nicer to the melee on Jan'alai, because I know how much I hate that boss on my Rogue. I tend to hug closer to my target as melee, and his fire wave thing starts from right below his body. This means that if you hug him, chances are you're going to take a tick or two from it. :| So, I moved him around a bit more than I've seen tanks do, but no an excessive amount (making melee move a lot is a pain too :p).

I've never liked those Zandalari Archons though. I've read things that say you can interrupt their Sigil Shatter, but I'm pretty certain that I tried that on my Rogue and it didn't work.

I can't CC on my rogue unless the tanks gives me time to before pulling :(

You have to take the initiative and be quick! ;)

Speaking of being quick, some of the DPS were rather testing my patience last night. They were just so ridiculously slow or did stupid things like pull pats... and one of those was after our healer left abruptly after beating the first boss (no wipes, deaths or mistakes :ninja:). Other than the trash before Panther boss (I pulled the large pack up, and my camera was so far pushed down that I couldn't see much), I had a great time tanking ZG the other day... very much unlike ZA.

Zul'Aman is absolutely awful for Rogues when it comes to CCing anyway. The only area where you can do it successfully is before the Bear boss and Malacrass. No one CCs before Eagle, and there are tons of detectors before Dragonhawk and you can't exactly CC random cat packs.

I don't think any of this sigil abilites are interruptable but I can't say I have tried every one since I play a mage 24 second CD and all... Loki, blind is basically as good as repent on a longer CD. Not optimal at all but better than nothing and it doesn't require setup like sap. It's good enough for the couple of CC pulls in the trolls and of course if the group is smart they will let you sap so you're really talking about dumb pugs. :p

I was grouped in a heroic with a warlock doing 3k dps the other night.

the healer was bitching about it so much that we vote-kicked the healer. :awe:

obviously it's low dps... but if the player isn't standing in the fire, isn't an asshole, and shit is dying, I don't really care.

Thats my feeling. If we can carry them and we are not wiping because of them who really cares?

Pretty much the same way I am. If they're not causing an issue with their below-average damage or any other performance aspect, who cares. Maybe you can help the guy out... get him to 5K DPS!

Although, I may be annoyed if I was on my Rogue (ilevel = ~360) and I wanted to get heroic Tia's Grace, because it's actually really good, and the crappy DPS ended up winning it over me. :| He can surely use it, but if we could have done the instance without his contribution... then I'd rather do that and get all the loots for myself! :p

What's the best way to earn gold these days? Back in early Wrath I made piles and piles of money from glyphs, but that market is gone. I have access to every other professions, so what's best? Is there something better besides professions?

JCing (esp if you are an AH whore) and enchanting are lucrative, of course gathering (mining, herbing) if you want to spend the time farming. YMMV with server economy.

Are there any good online sources or guides to use? Like what should I be selling from JC or enchanting? :p I haven't played seriously in a while, so I'm a bit out of the loop.

I've been running Burning Crusade heroics for rep/mounts... DE'ing all the level 70 greens and selling the essences has been making bank for me.

greater planar (?) essences from Outlands are selling for like 15g each on my server, plus 7-8g per stack of netherweave (usually leave a heroic with 6-8 stacks if I'm killing every mob for rep)

Buy ore as low as you can. I try to stay under ~25g or so per stack of elementium and ~35g and below on obsidium. Shout in trade like a maniac if you have to for it. Prospect it then save or sell the blue gems it doesn't really matter. Take your green gems and craft them into the green weapons and armors. Disenchant these into greater celestial essences/hypnotic dusts and sell for a stupid high profit.

YMMV depending on server economy but I have ~900 blue gems in my bank and can basically manufacture gold this way.

Oh and by green gems and armor those are the ones within JC. All of the green gems have a craftable item you can use them for like I know carnelians are carnelian spikes and such.

I decided to play my warrior some more, because I ran out of level 85 characters to buy the JP boots for. :p He's prot at the moment, which seems fine for leveling, but I decided to make a DPS spec for kicks. I thought I'd try fury, but I don't think I'll end up liking it. I originally made a warrior because I loved zipping around using charge, and you don't really get the luxury of charging often in fury (given you want to be in Berserker stance which doesn't support charge). You can always stance dance, but you also can't charge in combat. :|

I might end up going back to arms. I've been arms ever since I created the character way back in vanilla!

greater celestial essences and sell for a stupid high profit.

These sell for 150g each on my server. :\ My priest only has about 15 of them on him right now too, which worries me since his Maelstrom Crystal count is actually higher. :p

random question: so how much gold do people have on average nowadays?

My account expired back in January (can't believe it's almost a year I haven't played WoW!) and I had about 55k gold total. I remember that I was not considered a rich player back then, far from it, as my guildies mostly have 100k+ gold.

Uh I'm sitting on about 72k on my druid right now. I don't really have a use for any of it tbh.

Most of my guildies have 10-15k which seems about par for the course for someone not into making money.

I have about 120k gold and I don't do anything to make money.

My guild's bank has around 1 million gold o_O. The policy is that after a new raid tier is released, the guild bank goes down to 200k, and the rest is payout split amongst the raiders.

EDIT:

Although, my gold has been going up a bit now that I've been running heroics and trolls. I usually make about 100-400 a day just doing those, and then there's the other stuff that I get such as enchanting mats.

It's not being jaded.. It's just that the game is extremely boring. I was never a hardcore player and probably hit up a raid 4 or 5 times a month max (many times not completing it), and even now I can say I wasnt amazing at it... just competent and aware. Now though the game really doesnt provide anything re-freshing at all. Even playing a totally new class as I did doesn't do it and 4.3 isn't pulling me in either. Along with all that, none of my irl friends are playing (which is one of the big reasons I don't play). It was a really fun game for a while and don't regret playing it at all.

WoW Lost 800k Subscribers, down to 10.3M
Activision Blizzard latest earning call revealed that World of Warcraft lost another 800,000 subscribers last quarter, following the loss of 300k subscribers announced last quarter and 600k loss from the quarter before that. This brings us to 1.7 million subscribers lost in the last 3 quarters. Some things they made note of on the call:

Most of the subscriptions were lost in China.
There is normally an increase in subscriptions around December.
The decreased profit came from all of the games in development and no launches occurring.
There will be at least two major releases next year.

So, the 25 man guild fell apart rather fast because one guy wanted to be outright rude and uncooperative, took people with him that came with him.

So, back to 10 mans. The guild has killed Rag 5 or 6 times along with Heroic Shannox and we finally saw a single Conq token drop off Shannox but have yet to see one drop off Rag.

This tier sucks, it is awful. Rhyolith will not drop a helm worth a damn after he did once a while back. The main thing to me is that it only has 7 bosses and you have to hope your crap drops off that boss because you can't find another piece to do the same thing. I hear plate wearers complain about NO dps shoulders this entire tier for drops but there are two sets of tanking (outside of tier of course). This tier is making me seriously consider canceling my account as it has become that awful.

You need to be able to reset tiers twice a week if you wish. We already get one, make it two. This has become extremely boring. I have an 85 Warrior Tank and Hunter with no plans on leveling something else up.
