Unless you get some really good dps most will not CC in there. Its generally because they're pushing for a bear run and they feel that not CCing will speed things up. Its a pain in the ass
I think people just kind of like being told what to do. Even when I used to tank normal heroics, I noticed that maybe 5% of the DPS just kind of did their own thing. They knew what to CC and just did it when necessary. 80% of the people are willing to listen to marks and stuff, but have 0 initiative to just CC something (at least something -- it doesn't pull anymore!), and the other 15% is just the failsauce.
I like the 5% when I'm tanking!
This is why tanks generally know instances/which mobs to CC/kill order better. :awe:
Everyone should have a tank, gives a better perspective of the game, well at least 5 mans...
I agree, but I also wouldn't restrict that to just tanks. It's very helpful to understand every role, because it allows us to make better decisions that avoid inconveniencing our fellow players. As a Rogue, I had no idea that the Axe Throwers had a knock down effect that they used on the tank. I know that they have an annoying knock back AoE (I use Feint to help mitigate that).
So as a tank, I was being nicer to the melee on Jan'alai, because I know how much I hate that boss on my Rogue. I tend to hug closer to my target as melee, and his fire wave thing starts from right below his body. This means that if you hug him, chances are you're going to take a tick or two from it. :| So, I moved him around a bit more than I've seen tanks do, but no an excessive amount (making melee move a lot is a pain too

).
I've never liked those Zandalari Archons though. I've read things that say you can interrupt their Sigil Shatter, but I'm pretty certain that I tried that on my Rogue and it didn't work.
