BAH !!!!! We had two people, DK dps and Hunter both of which were really good and geared up, leave us for another server for a more serious guild. They went from 2/7 to 4/7 heroic FL.

One said to our GM and not to me:

I wanted to have a constant raid party one that didn't have family and jobs.

The GM was telling us over vent and he was like, "Oh, EXCUSE ME for having to find a job to pay bills." Then he turned to me in vent and said do NOT take this personal, which I did not. I work a lot and have 3 kids (5 year old and 9 week old twins). I make as many of the raids as I can, which is somewhere around 90% this expansion. I have NOT missed a single day of work due to WoW. I get offered OT and I work it.

Funny thing, our old Raid Leader was a d*** and did not let some people raid. So we get some people already in the guild, kill H Shannox, and then the rest of FL up to Rag. We only did three attempts on Rag with tree people who have never seen any of the fights there and got to the second son phase twice. Had to call it due to time.

New Priest healer was in half PvP gear.
New warrior needs some better gear.
New Hunter needs some better gear.

Everything else went well. The GM did the RL and it was soooooooooooooooo much better overall.

That's what happens with self-entitled kids in high school or college. :p

Second son phase is even easier if you keep an add alive while you work down the bigger adds. This requires people to push/pull the adds around though. We usually just kill 'em.

I've finally been playing my Rogue a bunch, and he's up to ~357 ilevel at this point. The only "cheesy" item I have raising that is Coren's Chromium Coaster, which isn't very good for an Assassination Rogue to begin with (worse than most ilevel 346 heroic blue trinkets). I just don't feel like farming Tia's Grace though, so meh.

I also finally got into the troll instances, and I guess they're alright. It's getting kind of annoying with people trying to tell me (an Assassination Rogue) to do things that involve switching targets. "Hey Rogue, get the hatchers!" I appreciate that you consider my competence to be higher than your own guildies (two hunters), but switching targets is not a good thing for an Assassination Rogue. :|

I think I'm just going to go in there on my Shaman tonight (he's way too low on his weekly VP accumulation), and just demolish everything. My Shaman only has one thing that needs to build up (searing flame stacks from the searing totem), and that only affects one ability (lava lash). That should be quite cathartic, right? :)

I have a rogue at 80 that I've been debating about leveling. The thought alone of doing trolls all over again though doesn't help.

So, I remembered why it's not good to run heroics on my Shaman... I tend to be an aggro whore. Some tanks are good about marking or having their target be their main threat target, but others... not so much. They also seem to like watching me squirm trying to heal myself before the big, bad troll kills me... mon. It's also interesting to see how many people have no idea that freeing the sacrifices in Zul'Aman provides extra loot. In one of my runs last night, only one other guy stuck around to get the loot from 3/4 of the people. :p

Only bad thing is that it takes 5 minutes for the people to auto-pass. :p

I need to get the weird looking kitty. It reminds me of Blaire from Soul Eater, but with less ecchi overtones. :p

I might also consider the ring on my Rogue, but he's using the haste+mastery JP ring, which may be better given I think the 365 ring is hit+crit. Crit is unfortunately not that good unless you have T12, and even then, it's (still) not better than haste or mastery.

Just finished Eastern Kingdoms Trick or Treating. 4 Masks and a Squashling, 5 Wands as well 4 different ones and 2 wisps. Not bad off to Kalimdor.

And server restart halfway through Kalimdor.

dumb question, but how can I make a macro to target my focus, cast misdirection, and then assist my focus?

Should work. It will cast MD on your focus if he is an ally, if not your focus' target if it's an ally, if not your target, if not your targets target, and if all that fails it will MD your pet. It will then target your focus' target if it is an enemy and not dead.

How do I macro my pet fel hunter to cast spell lock? /petcast didn't seem to do anything. Idont want to auto spell lock, as it's my only interrupt.

worked perfectly :thumbsup:

I think tonight I'm going to tame a ravager and give Survival a try... I hit 85 the other day and respec'd MM for 5-mans, but I don't think my gear is up to par, yet. felt like I needed more haste because mobs were dying before I could get off a single aimed shot.

Sv tends to work a bit better until you get a higher ilvl weapon. Almost all of MM's abilities are Weapon Damage based while SV's abilities scale with RAP similar to a caster.

How it always worked out for me when I played Hunter was once I got a tier upgraded weapon and I didn't have a full set of that tiers gear MM would pull ahead but as I gained a full set of say 359 or 378 gear SV would be playing catch up. That's why going into a new gear level SV is pretty much equal to MM until you get that high ilvl weapon. MM also sucks SV is a blast to play :p

Two thoughts on Blizzcon's stream:

1) Why isn't there a mobile streaming app?

2) Will it still be a laggy piece of shit like it has been every god damn year?

They have an app it just doesn't stream :( i assume they will get that in one of these years.

It will probably be less laggy, I know no one I know is really excited for Blizzcon this year. Last year everyone was super excited for it because of the impending Cata release. Everyone I knew had a virtual ticket. This year maybe 2 other guildies have a virtual ticket.

macro to tricks of the trade my target's target? I know how to do @focus and a name specifically... but need one for when there are 2 tanks.
