They're blocked at work... Yeah I glanced at Tankhard (available) but noticed it's a bit above my gear level.

There's been a lot of information about 4.3 coming out lately... some good, some not-so-good.

Look For Raid seems like a sure thing, and it will feature a so-called "easy mode" for the raid. Easy mode will provide weaker gear, but there's been no mention whether or not this will be similar to the difference between normal and heroic (i.e. same gear, different ilevels).

There will be 3 new 5-man dungeons. The first is where you will go into the future to see a post-apocalyptic Azeroth (Dragonblight actually). You will fight 2 of 4 old leaders that are some sort of spirits in agony (Sylvanas, Blaine, Jaina or Tyrande). Then you fight some dragon from the Infinite Dragonflight that's blocking Nozdormu's ability to send you back in time.

The second is where you go back in time with Thrall (now that you can) to retrieve the Dragon Soul. For the non-lore nerds out there, the Dragon Soul was created as a way to harness the powers of all the dragon aspects, and said aspects were tricked by Deathwing (then Naltharian) to giving up their power for malevolent purposes. Supposedly, we will be using the Demon Soul to kill Deathwing.

The third dungeon involves us going to Wyrmrest to confront Deathwing himself.

There will be a new legendary item, or in this case... items. The new legendary is confirmed to be a rogue dagger set, which should work for combat rogues too. This will involve the black dragon that we saved in Badlands, and said dragon will provide you the daggers for performing nefarious deeds to help him. Apparently, not being very nice runs in the family.

The new raid will feature 8 bosses, which the last two are Deathwing oriented. The 7th will involve us on Deathwing's back as he races to the Maelstrom. He will supposedly be trying to shake us off during this time, so who knows what crazy mechanics this will involve. The 8th will involve fighting Deathwing at the Maelstrom and we will hop around different floating platforms and it includes help from various dragon aspects.

The raid will also feature a slight buff to help out melee classes.

Epic gems will drop in the new raid, but only on normal and heroic. Each player that defeats a boss will receive a sort of "gem cache" which rarely contains an epic gem. They said it will take awhile to replace all of your gems.

Corrupted Ashbringer will not be available from vendors for Transmogriphying ( :( ), but the old PVP gear will be.

EDIT:

Tier 13 will not be available for valor points. Assuming it will drop from the raid only (and BH).

brewfest is here... can someone tell me what this "daily keg" is so I can get my dagger? They say it doesn't drop off Coren (the boss) but the daily keg.

Is it a once-daily quest to go kill the boss? I got a quest looted from the boss but when I turned in, I didn't get anything in return.

So I'm level 84 and have 4000 justice points, but I can't buy level 85 items... what do you all recommend grabbing? Heirlooms?

The barrel you get from Coren is a one-time reward for killing him. It gives a fairly substantial amount of Brewfest tokens.

Best part about Brewfest is getting to show off how much I rock at ram racing!

You could just save the points and avoid doing a dungeon until you level up.

Save them and you can get yourself 2pct11 the second you hit level 85. Or even better do some leveling in bgs and cap your honor too. That way you can convert it to justice and get even more gear to start with.

I know the same 3 or 4 items keep dropping from Coren but damn people are NEED rolling on off-spec gear and beating me... twice already... among server reboots this is time-consuming and annoying. Have 3 toons with all 3 roles to gear.

It only takes a minute to kill coren, just re kill to get drops np. Its the mounts in the keg that are once a day.

The Firelands nerfs went in today. Most bosses saw between 15% to 25% nerfs to health and/or damage. This also affected heroics, and most of their nerfs were on the low end (15%).

My guild has been 2-healing most of the instance (on 10-man) for the past few weeks, and chances are we'll be able to do that easily now.

Got an email from bllizz about doing a survey. Looks like it was sent to all accounts regardless of status and when completed gives a code for a flying mount. Not sure if its an account wide unlocck or for just onne char(which would then have some resell value for cancelled accounts).

I assume you're being sarcastic.

Ran Coren as an 84 tank last night and got all 3 tanking trinkets, which should be a very nice boost for when I hit 85.

Just set up a new PC that can play on Ultra with a good 80-100fps but I still get 30fps in Orgrimmar. Does this happen to anyone else? I'm guessing it's just the way it's designed (the Bank/AH area)

Your framerate will almost always drop like crazy with a ton of people around, which is pretty much what the middle of Orgrimmar and Stormwind is. It can also drop a bit when particle effects (fire, etc) start popping up. The worst raid fight I've seen for slowdown has to be Maloriak and his acid burst. I can just feel my PC slowing down when my entire screen turns to green.

It is definitely shadows that tank your system with the increase in players.

Girlfriend is running a GTX 460 and her frame rate held strong, 40-50FPS while she watched our server's first legendary event. There ere at least 100-200 people at the time.

She has her shadows I believe on medium.

I know when I used full shadows I'd see performance hits frequently, one notch below and I don't notice the difference in shadows, and my performance doesn't get hit as hard.

Heh, I'm not sure what's worse... shadows on ultra or particle effects on Maloriak. I can use shadows on ultra with only one WoW open in the middle of Stormwind without a problem, but dang... those particle effects hit me hard.

I actually have shadows turned to low. I found that I can't play two WoWs at once with shadows on the highest setting, so I just turned it down. I don't get much from the prettier shadows, so no real need.

I've got a 480 pushed by a 2600, at 1200p on maxed settings I'm runnning near triple digits while out with little other people but drop to about 40 in org.

Your low (relatively) FPS in org is probably just a limitation of DirectX. Too many draw calls with that many people around.

I guess it's probably a similar issue, but my framerate tanks in Elwynn as nowhere else in the game, especially when I am flying over it. Must be a combination of all of the trees and their shadows, and all of the people always dueling in Goldshire.

Something happened in a recent patch that made my framerates periodically go to hell when I interact with certain NPCs.

The JC daily person in Org is one I talk to every day - frames go down to the single digits; when I'm done talking, back to ~80 ish.'

It hasn't always been like this.
