The Guild I belong to is on the Alliance side. On my server thats generally a good thing as the Alliance population is much higher than the Horde. I say generally a good thing because we have found some down side to having an unbalanced faction population.
Our guild has managed to do quite a good number of Guild Achievements But there are two linked achievements that have eluded us.
Tauren Slayer and Horde Slayer. Without Tauren Slayer you cant get Horde Slayer or the nifty Guild Page that comes along with the achievement.
Now you probably already know the problem with Tauren Slayer is that a Tauren Priest is about as rare as any class/race combination in game. Now consider that my server has a low Horde population and you can see the problem.
After running many Tol Barad Battlegrounds I decided that leaving the acquisition of this achievement to fate or random chance was just not working out. So I did what you would expect I leveled a Tauren Priest to 85.
I have leveled a lot of characters to 85 but Ive never played a priest. I was shocked to find out just how easy it was to level in shadow spec. Quests that were difficult to complete when I did them with other classes of toons were a snap with a shadow priest. Leveling only took me three weeks and if I had dedicated all my time to the process it would have been a lot less than that.
The rest of my guild was anxiously waiting for the day my new priest hit 85, expecting me to simply stand in one spot, flag myself and let them kill me. Ah but that was NEVER my plan.
The achievement reads Get an honorable kill on each of the following Tauren classes. The priest of course being one of the classes. While it might technically be an Honorable kill if I just let them take me out , I dont feel that is truly the Honerable way to do this.
So here is how I am planning to go about killing off the priest for the guild achievement.
It just so happens that my new Tauren Priest is part of a Horde guild and that several of my alliance guild members are also part of the same Horde Guild.
With the help of the Raid Leader and Guild Master we are setting up a PvP match which will likely end up being five horde toons versus six Alliance The plan is to head to the Isle of Quel'Danas, which is usually deserted these days, and have us a knock down drag out PvP fight. The ultimate goal of course is to kill the Tauren Priest.
The rules of the contest are not completely ironed out but so far we have the following
1.) No leaving the Isle until the Priest is dead
2.) No going into instances for one side to avoid the other.
Personally I think its going to be a load of fun, and we will see just how good a Shadow Priest can be in PvP. From what I can see from leveling him, he is going to be a PITA to kill
So what do you guys think?
