It looks like you guys had around 80 stacks of Corruption based on the amount of damage that you were taking.

It looks like you had him at about 9.7% of his HP left. It seems you would've been able to beat him if you kept your DPS numbers up (with the values given by overall damage). But it looks like the amount of damage that you're taking is just too much... your entire raid is taking around 11k every 2 seconds. So there's a constant 55k/s raid damage plus the damage on the tank and the eye stalks.

Got him last night finally. Went from 2 healing it to 3 healing it and it went a ton smoother.

Congrats on the kill!

I think we've only two-healed a few fights so far... Omnotron and Magmaw that I know of, but that was because our third healer was late so we just 9 manned them :p.

The Guild I belong to is on the Alliance side. On my server that’s generally a good thing as the Alliance population is much higher than the Horde. I say “generally a good thing” because we have found some down side to having an unbalanced faction population.

Our guild has managed to do quite a good number of “Guild Achievements” But there are two linked achievements that have eluded us.

Tauren Slayer and Horde Slayer. Without Tauren Slayer you can’t get Horde Slayer or the nifty “Guild Page” that comes along with the achievement.

Now you probably already know the problem with Tauren Slayer is that a Tauren Priest is about as rare as any class/race combination in game. Now consider that my server has a low Horde population and you can see the problem.

After running many Tol Barad Battlegrounds I decided that leaving the acquisition of this achievement to fate or random chance was just not working out. So I did what you would expect I leveled a Tauren Priest to 85.

I have leveled a lot of characters to 85 but I’ve never played a priest. I was shocked to find out just how easy it was to level in shadow spec. Quests that were difficult to complete when I did them with other classes of toons were a snap with a shadow priest. Leveling only took me three weeks and if I had dedicated all my time to the process it would have been a lot less than that.

The rest of my guild was anxiously waiting for the day my new priest hit 85, expecting me to simply stand in one spot, flag myself and let them kill me. Ah but that was NEVER my plan.

The achievement reads “Get an honorable kill on each of the following Tauren classes.” The priest of course being one of the classes. While it might technically be an “Honorable” kill if I just let them take me out , I don’t feel that is truly the “Honerable” way to do this.

So here is how I am planning to go about killing off the priest for the guild achievement.
It just so happens that my new Tauren Priest is part of a Horde guild and that several of my alliance guild members are also part of the same Horde Guild.

With the help of the Raid Leader and Guild Master we are setting up a PvP match which will likely end up being five horde toons versus six Alliance The plan is to head to the Isle of Quel'Danas, which is usually deserted these days, and have us a knock down drag out PvP fight. The ultimate goal of course is to kill the Tauren Priest.

The rules of the contest are not completely ironed out but so far we have the following

1.) No leaving the Isle until the Priest is dead

2.) No going into instances for one side to avoid the other.

Personally I think it’s going to be a load of fun, and we will see just how good a Shadow Priest can be in PvP. From what I can see from leveling him, he is going to be a PITA to kill

So what do you guys think?

1) Bring an arms warrior
2) Target priest
3) Throwdown > Reck + DC + CS + MS on priest
4) ????
5) Profit

Ok, revised plan. Tunnel damage into any other target and try to force the priest's pain sup. Hard switch on priest, and explode him.

That would assume the priest is discipline... all we know is that he's Shadow. Frankly, as long as I don't get caught in a fear bomb, which kind of sucks now as a Shaman, I can kill a priest. Given the priest is essentially a fresh 85, there's a good chance he won't have a PVP trinket to remove anything.

Sounds like an organized battle.. In which case:

(1) Hunter's Mark on the Chocolate Moo~Cow SPriest of Doomy Doom**

(2) All ranged Focus Fire

At that point, I don't care who you are and what buffs you have. You're dead.

Reading failure on my part. Well, if he's a fresh 85, a hard switch on him will likely result in a kill unless he preemptively uses dispersion. You should be able to tremor one of his fears right?

Yes, but the hardest part is that you have to assume when he's going to use it, and since it's a totem... where. Tremor Totem has a 6 second duration now and can be easily destroyed still.

It reminds me of this one time I was fighting some Horde outside of Stormwind, and the priest feared me. Well, the other Horde jumped on me at this point and tried to kill me. But I used my Shaman-ly powers to run away :p. I think I had about 3 Horde on me... I was quite lucky to survive .

On my Rogue, it was actually very easy to avoid fears. I found that almost all priests would blow psychic scream immediately after my Kidney Shot wore off. All I did at the end of a Kidney Shot was back off about 1s early, so I'd be right outside of PS's AoE. If I wanted to be lazy, I'd just blow CloS at the end.

I used to PVP as a Priest in vanilla... Rogues were actually my easiest prey as long as they weren't Undead. This one Troll Rogue used to always try and kill me in BGs and he never succeeded 1v1. Undead Rogues were usually far more lucky :p.

I thought you could drop the totem mid-fear now?

Ya you can drop it mid-fear, its really the only way you can get it to work on a fear now.

If you want a res scroll someone willl need your email, aka login I'd.

Love that new founded security.

And...

Patch 4.1 on Live Servers this Week
The patch is now available in weird places of the internet and we reached the point where we can pretty much confirm that the patch will be deployed on live realms this week. The "pretty much" is only here if an apocalypse happens and Blizzard has to postpone the patch (but it never happened).

Lol you all just want my Shadow Cow to come to your server so you can get the achievement :p

Again the big thing everyone is missing here is that people are talking about a lone Shadow Cow against five or six attackers. We aren’t making it that easy on them.

I will admit I will be the week link as my main is a Hunter and even on that toon I would not consider myself a top notch PVP player. Fortunately the other people that will be on the Horde side with me are much better PVP players. I think the match up will end up pretty close to even 5 Vs 5 or maybe 5 Vs 6. My Shadow Cow alone… blood in the water.

Meh, just more excited I don't have to be online before 4 in the morning to do randoics, everyday. Also excited to gear alts with ZG/ZA gear. I know for the first month or so it's gonna be cancery, just gotta do them with guildies I guess.
