I think I'll buy it the afternoon it comes out and take a couple days off work the following week. There usually seems to be server issues and frustration the first couple of days that make me feel like I wasted the time off.

There's always plenty. I went to the last midnight released and there were so many of your stereotypical nerds I couldnt stand it. Surprisingly my friends, who are the most unlikely people to play WoW (gym rats probably 12 hours a day working out/wrestling) were at the front of the line and I just cut LoL.

mine says delevery on Dec 7th now that ive checked release day shipping, for whatever reason its free and i am NOT a prime member. however im not gonna complain about that

The only reason you need to get there early is if you want a Collector's Edition. I have a CE pre-ordered at Gamestop as well, but I think a lot of people here can give you a Gamestop horror story, and that's enough to make me have a "fallback plan." I also own 2 CEs for each expansion anyway .

I also had to change mine to Release-Date Delivery to get the date to say 12/7....

Ah fudge, was spending time leveling up the mage to get him into the BC eng patterns to try and clear out some of the space in my miners bank and totally forgot about doing brewfest for the 1 char that needed it to complete the meta. Started last night giving me 145 tokens, can get 25 today with dailies. The means I need 32 to finish brew of the month and transform mount... And I don't think 30 is real hard but 32 may be pushing it. Maybe I'll get lucky and get a mount drop and then just need 30 to finish it out.
