I'm probably one of those "GO GO GO GO" people :p. I absolutely cannot stand sitting around doing nothing in a heroic... well, as long as no one has said "BRB", or someone's getting their mana up. Although, as a tank, I typically take the healer's max mana into account to decide how I'm going to pull things. It's pretty much a generic take on their level of gear:

70-80k: Chances are they aren't well geared... probably just at the 329 ilevel for heroics or a little bit higher. You will have to take it a bit slow and CC heavily on pulls regardless of your own gear level.
80-90k: Geared a bit from heroics, but you might need to CC a little bit still. Not CC'ing will probably require a lot more mana breaks for them.
90-100k: Heroic-geared and can probably do without much if any CC (maybe only on the larger pulls).
100k+: Usually has some raid-gear or as many epics as you can get from crafting and reputations. Chances are you won't have to CC at all if the tank is geared enough.

Sometimes I'll CC if a pull is just really annoying... like some of the caster mobs in Vortex Pinnacle, although I think I went each pull earlier tonight without CC and it was fine ( albeit, as I mentioned... annoying ).

I've been playing my Shaman a lot lately, and it still seems that Shamans have such terrible health in comparison to most classes :\.

The only items (that will give stam) that I have left to replace are my pants, one ring, relic and bracers. So, I might gain about 4k HP bringing me up to 105k. I think my Paladin has around 110k+ in his makeshift Ret gear. Oh well... I still pull tons of DPS in heroics... usually 16k+ on bosses :D.

Inscription is only hard for me at the 500+ level because it requires so many of the green-quality inks and I never get that many of them :(.

depends on how much gold you want to sink, but crafting the blue quality offhands is the best way to go. i pretty much evened out levelling from 450 to 525, just selling offhands as i went along. of course, when i did it nobody had 346 gear...

rule of thumb, if cinderbloom (or equivalent) is 65% of whiptail (or twilight jasmine), then green ink output per gold is the same (if you trade your blackfallow inks for inferno inks).

it was great when the herbing nodes were everywhere. i snagged up 20k worth of herbs at 35g/stack.

wow 35g a stack. that cheap as hell, the cheapest any herb is on Ner'zhul is like 80g a stack, TBH im not sure any herb is cheaper then 4.5g per single TBH. Most are in the 5-10 range

This was during the first few days of cataclysm when everyone was herbing and the herbing nodes were not nerfed. Last time I checked cinder bloom was going for 60 per stack. Still cheap.

Why the hell does the game never tell you that you're joining a dungeon in progress anymore? Is this some trick to get people to actually join these fail groups? I'm in H-DM right now with someone that can't kill slags for shit and it's pissing me the hell off. I've done it myself and it's a relatively easy (and boring) job.

So basically the way it was before is that tanks would queue and only take partial instances. Thus the wait time was getting out of hand.

Tonight I was able to run as a healer with instant queues instead of 15 min. I'm all for the change.

So, that makes it alright to not tell me that the instance is half done and I'm probably going to get a bad group? :\

I usually take whatever pops up regardless of what it is, although, I take heed of "in progress" and usually prefer new instances.

But I guess it's nice that at least you have faster queues... I'm still stuck with 30+ minute queues on my Enhancement Shaman :\.

My main is a Rogue. Pro tip: Get one of your tanks, healers, or both to join your group. If worst comes to worst they can drop but that will leave you at the front of the queue which is far better than waiting 30-45 minutes solo.

As far as partially completed heroics, I've only had 1 or 2 that were really bad. Generally it's the bads that got kicked and you come in there and finish your heroic super quick for VP.

I normally play with a friend of mine that tanks for me, so I typically don't have queues, but he wasn't around tonight. It's really not so bad some nights as long as I have a TV show to watch :p. I also won't pull a queue-n-bail... that's just lame.

I think I've probably had about a 70% success rate with partial heroics, but usually while some are successful, it's pretty obvious why the previous tank or DPS left the group. I mean, I was with an Enhancement Shaman that was using dual agility daggers for Pete's sake! I mean, I could see if one was a caster dagger since those were good up until 4.0.6, but agility... sheesh! :p

it has never said dungeon status on random queue. select manual queue and it will tell you before entering how many bosses are down.

After I hit 85, I checked every single day for that stupid Pebble quest, even after getting my Therazane rep to exalted. I'd guess that I checked around 35-40 days in a row and after only seeing it twice, I gave up on it. I don't want the damn achievement now.

Since 10 man raiding seems to be somewhat dead at the moment (minimal pugging related to heroic gear up issues and raid guilds concentrating on 25 mans for weekly raiding and not doing weekend 10 mans since your char is now locked to a single raid vice the old 25 and 10 man IDs), my lock has been parked in the deeps for the last month just to log in and check for the quest. I'll have to look up the achievement dates later, but thera exalted was a long long time ago and the mushroom man was at least a month past.

10 mans arent dead, well its prob server specific, but they aren't dead,. pugging is mostly dead for raids because they are actually somewhat difficult. people pugged naxx cause it was a total joke. pugging really died down in ulduar where things were hard, picked back up in TOC where it was a joke on normal and then was kinda in the middle in ICC.

theres a 10 man guild on our server looking for a lock. I got some random tells last night from someone who was mad at us for hoarding all the good locks on the server. which i found funny

10 man is far from dead, on my server there are 3 total 25 man guilds and over 30 10 mans. My guild is currently 10 man but have almost enough for a 25 man and we're toying around with the idea since we're only 4/12 so far. 25 man seems to give more room for error and sometimes more buffs which is nice. The only downside we can see is there is less room to move because you have more people, and more people to mess up when they need to move. Which seems to be a bit of an issue.

Once t12 is out and you can but t11 with JP it will be pugged more becaue honestly once you're in 3/4 359 gear it's a lot easier than if you're in mostly 346.
