Bagnon is completely borked for me though. I HATE using the default bags and hope this gets fixed soon. I looked for alternative bag addon but it, too, was bugged according to the comments on curse, so I'm assuming they all are bugged.

There was an update for it last night just before our raid... I can't stand default bags either. I don't want to look through 5 small containers when I can just sort everything in 1 big one.

EDIT>> already mentioned.

how much do people pay for just a truegold CD now?

It varies between 100-200 gold - might be different depending upon the server. Trade chat usually has a few people spamming CD prices.

I just make truegold on my alt and resell it on the auction house for 900k-ish.

I've heard/read PVP changes pissed off a lot of people and the usual "Frakk you Blizzard - I quit" posts [I bet those same people will still be playing and trade chat spamming].

that's a lot!!

anyway, to address the concern some were having about paying 3k justice points for some herbs. the blues stated that these are not great prices to acquire these items. you are only supposed to use this route of obtaining said items once you have all the gear you need for all specs, etc. basically, you have a way of getting these items using the points you're going to acquire anyway without them going to waste. just be happy about it :p.

yea the prices on that stuff is very very strange

The crafting mats are not meant to be an economically feasible way of getting the mats. They're for people who need a good way to spend excess justice points when they don't need anything else. For example, my Paladin had nothing to get, so I could buy leather to work on my Rogue's leatherworking.

Bagnon has been fixed since yesterday.

Amusingly, I had issues with it after I updated my add-ons, and turns out it got updated only shortly after I updated my add-ons the first time :p. A quick second update and I was good to go. I think it's version... 2.16 that you need?

http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/bagnon.aspx

Thanks a lot. Judging by the time it was updated, I think I disabled it about an hour before, so I guess I should've been more persistent throughout the night in checking for an update. :)

Nice. Bagnon is one of the few mods I use.

Also, on an unrelated note, Arms warriors are terrible/unplayable in arenas now (taking hunters former spot). Fury is ok, but has hard counters. My suggestion: play a ret paladin, hunter, dk, or warlock. Also, resto druids/disc priests are currently the strongest healers, if you're on the fence about playing one in arena.

God mode comp: Ret/Hunter/Priest post patch.

Yep - just wish it wasn't against the TOS to sell game gold and items for $$$. :)

I don't splurge on luxury items [the old school flying mounts work perfectly fine and faction reward mounts are free], all of my characters can craft/support each other, and if I want epics I'll run dungeons or pvp. I really can't fathom what people would need 25k+ gold for...

Though a friend did pay $25.00 USD to buy the celestial steed so his pally could look cool:

http://us.blizzard.com/store/details.xml?id=1100000942

I thought that was a bit ridiculous when I remembered that I paid to change the name of one of my characters and to server transfer another character back from a free server transfer offered about a year ago. :D

I'm a huge packrat, extremely cheap, almost never sell or buy anything on the AH. I've got 30k pretty much from leveling.

900k-ish for truegold on your server still? Soon after launch it was going for that much but as weeks went by it has gone down to 600-700g now. Still good though as long as I'm picking herbs and getting volatile lifes to transmute.

Yeah - I think various prices are a little skewed / excessive.

I looted a +50 agil to bracer enchant BOE today and there are 2 on the AH for.. 12k gold.

Then again - cobalt bars are being posted for 100g each too...

gold is so easy to come by... started on cata launch with 120k gold, blew 50k in 2 weeks, make back 150k in the next.

jewelcrafting, enchanting, inscription, alchemy... those were all gold mines in the first month of cata.

Inscription still makes quite a bit of money. I regularly sell glyphs for 50g+ a piece.

i crafted about 5k in mats worth of glyphs right before 4.0 hit. made 50k easily in the following week after 4.0 hit. i still have a bank alt full of em, but i got too lazy in selling them. made darkmoon decks instead and regularly sold them for 15k profits each (even giving away all the Stones decks to MT's and OT's)

Someone posted that yesterday for 25k gold. Nuts. I mean if it were me I'd try it first too, but still an insane price.

BTW, I didn't think inscription was all that worthwhile to level since the glyphs are one-and-done for everyone now. Can't believe they're still selling so well. Anyway, to level it is too rich for my blood now.

btw, hotfixes today:

February 11 (Patch 4.0.6a)

General
Players are no longer encountering errors when having their items bid on in the Auction House. The Auctions tab also updates appropriately reflecting the bid.

Classes
Area-of-effect abilities such as Consecration, Efflorescence, Healing Rain, Holy Word: Sanctuary, Ring of Frost, and Smoke Bomb now function correctly when cast on any trapdoors (ala Cho'gall) or transports even while the caster is not standing on one of those same objects.

Death Knight (Forums / Cataclysm Talent Calculator / Skills/Talents)
Death and Decay no longer damages the death knight's currently selected friendly target when it does damage to nearby target dummies.

Druid (Forums / Cataclysm Talent Calculator / Skills/Talents)
Starfall no longer exceeds 20 stars within its duration.
Frost Nova, Tranquility, War Stomp, and Starfire are all properly scaled when used by or on a druid in Tree of Life form. The previous temporary hotfix which removed the ability to use War Stomp while in Tree of Life form has been reverted.

Hunter (Forums / Cataclysm Talent Calculator / Skills/Talents)
Auto Shot was not firing while the hunter was moving under certain conditions. Auto Shot should now always function correctly while the hunter is moving.
Having a melee weapon equipped no longer causes the tooltips for Cobra Shot and Steady Shot to incorrectly display extra benefit from haste.
The cooldown for Master's Call has been increased to 45 seconds, up from 35. In addition, it can now be dispelled.
The Warp Stalker ability Time Warp can no longer be used on paladins with the Divine Shield buff active.

Mage (Forums / Cataclysm Talent Calculator / Skills/Talents)
The Quad Core buff provided by the Sanctified Bloodmage 4-piece set bonus is now properly removed as soon as a spell is cast if the mage does not have 4 pieces of the set equipped.

Paladin (Forums / Cataclysm Talent Calculator / Skills/Talents)
Glyph of Dazing Shield correctly causes Avenger's Shield to daze the target, and only allows Avenger's Shield to trigger the dazed effect.
The area-of-effect attack of Hammer of the Righteous no longer has a chance to miss secondary targets when the primary attack hits the paladin's target. If the primary attack of Hammer of the Righteous fails to hit the target due to miss/dodge/parry/block, no enemies will be affected by the area-of-effect attack. Rogues who are under Cloak of Shadows, however, are able to resist this damage.
The Warp Stalker (hunter pet) ability Time Warp can no longer be used on paladins with the Divine Shield buff active.

Priest (Forums / Cataclysm Talent Calculator / Skills/Talents)
Inner Focus can no longer be cast before the effect of its preceding spell completes (Inner Focus will only be applied to spells that are cast after it).
Sin and Punishment now works properly when two players of the same faction are fighting each other (including in Arenas). A string error may appear when the opponent is feared even though the talent functions correctly.

Warlock (Forums / Cataclysm Talent Calculator / Skills/Talents)
All raid bosses are now properly immune to Suffering (Voidwalker taunt ability).

Dungeons & Raids
Blackwing Descent
Drakeadon Mongrels can now be taunted.
The debuff from Pyreclaw's Flame Buffet now only lasts 8 seconds.
The Golem Sentry's Flash Bomb damage has been reduced in the 25-player version.
The health of Drakeadon Mongrels and Drakonid Slayers has been reduced in 10- and 25-player versions.
Nefarian's Blazing Inferno damage and knockdown radius has been reduced to match the spell effect graphic.

Items
Some Vicious Gladiator's weapons (item level 359) incorrectly had their costs increased. This has been corrected. Two-hand and ranged weapons now cost 3400 Conquest Points, while one-hand and caster weapons now cost 2450 Conquest Points.
All Vicious Gladiator's weapons (item level 372) have been temporarily removed from the Glorious Conquest Quartermasters until the time is right to officially introduce them into Azerothian society.

PvP
Many items incorrectly rendered unusable in rated Battlegrounds and Arenas have been made usable again.

Battlegrounds
Battle for Gilneas
The banners at each capture point now take 8 seconds to capture, up from 5. Note that when the banners are neutral and have not yet been captured by either faction at the start of a battle, they will display the wrong location names (Mine says Farm, Waterworks says Blacksmith, and Lighthouse says Stables).

Races
Gift of the Naaru now has a maximum limit to the amount healed when used on friendly NPCs with large amounts of health.

its actually quite easy to level, they changed it so you get massive skillups from the craftable blue offhands and such. any glyphs you make, you can sell at cost (or profit)

depending on how saturated your herb markets are, it may be a gold mine or a copper mine... but its still a profession that you can easily make money with.

imo, when next content patch comes out there will probably be new inscription recipes and craftable offhands. good time to stock up on cheap herbs.

Inscription is only hard for me at the 500+ level because it requires so many of the green-quality inks and I never get that many of them :(.

I just wanted to say that 25 man raids are EASY AS PISS AND A FUCKING JOKE if you know what you're doing, and what's funny is you don't even need 25 people.

Old post, but anyway. Being interested in this topic, I have created a tracker website that (among others) provides statistics on the successes of 10-man and 25-man guilds on the various encounters:
http://www.wowtrack.org/encounters.lua

Relative difficulty really depends on the specific encounter.

So how bad are the LFD groups anyway? A guild member said he was part of an LFD for Black rock [he's a lvl 85 dps shaman while the rest of the group was about 82-83] and said it was ok. Blizzard forums are filled with a lot of negativity towards the LFD system...which doesn't help.

I'm tempted to go - but I really don't want to run it on my healbot priest only to be disappointed with people dropping group, rolling need on everything that drops, etc.

I'm part of a 3 person guild so the guild run is out and I don't think anyone monitors the LFG channels either..

I'd say about 95% of the time, for heroic dungeons, the group is fine. They aren't all super fast or have the highest DPS, but you'll complete the dungeon. Then there's the other 5% that are just terrible. I had one like that last night in H-DM... we actually ran out of time on the nightmare poison part! Before that we wiped on Cookie. Frankly, I didn't think that was possible.

I found that I had to turn off my Quartz cast bar on Cookie, because I had the hardest time seeing food by my feet with the constant cast bar up.

LFD groups are fine.... as long as you don't go into them like an asshole and expect everyone to pull 15k dps... all pulls to be AOE pulls.. etc.

Go expecting everything to be crap... and come out pleasantly surprised when things work...

Don't be the GO GO GO GO GO GO guy..

(google video it.. if you never saw it..)
