Clearly you have a very healthy ego. No one is perfect, and thinking you're automatically better than any other woman is not an attractive trait.

That said, I'm not fully disagreeing with you. If you're putting more into the relationship than him and he's not willing to work at it more, then it's time to move on.

"healthy"? I'd say it needs to slim down a little!

I have to wonder why some people date...in this case, it almost sounds like she WANTS some loser guy who makes less money, doesn't make any decisions in the relationship, and has other attributes that she can belittle in order to provide a counterpoint to her own achievements. And he probably wants someone who pays all the bills and makes the decisions, even if that means he has to put up with insults. They're perfect for each other :p

I hope I'm wrong..but that's just how it sounds from the little we know.

Most people who are near-perfect in every way are (a)dating people of equal caliber, and (b)don't feel the need to announce their perfection at every turn.

well i can see her point though. what if she has been begging him to get a job and stay off the computer, games etc?

here she is paying for everything and just getting tired of it. if that is the case she needs to get a better boyfriend. when one person in the relationship is not respected then no use being in the relationship.

I just wonder how much is true though?

He has a job in Tech Support. He's posted about it before.

31 and I just bought an XBOX 360. I have played the 360 more in the past month than I played my xbox in 2 years.

i play less because i'm harder to impress now. i'm jaded. i've played so many that most new games are just more of the same to me, and thats just boring. its like been there done that. that and i have a low tolerance for busy work type games(leveling up etc). i guess thats why theres a huge market for gold farmers and weapons/armors on ebays and such. its monkey work.

I somewhat agree with you, 0roo0roo. I'm doing a 10 day free trial of World of Warcraft but I have trouble getting into it because the leveling up feels tedious. Hell I play my Nintendo DS more often than I do PC games anymore.

However, I don't think there will be a time when I flat out stop playing video games. My opinion may change in the future as I am still only 22, but that's the way I see it now.

BTW, your poll sucks. I'm 30, so I fit in two categories.

The "Do Not Game Anymore" poll should probably ask age that you stopped, rathern than current age.

And in addition to what i JUST posted, here's something else:

I'm the MONEY BAGS in the relationship. Not only that, but I am planning for a Law Degree. I'll make more money than he can imagine, and not only that, BUT I WON'T BE SPENDING IT ON COMPUTER GAMES.... i'll be saving it for an early retirement.

oh, also guys.... i DON'T WANT KIDS. there's something else i bet he never told you.

Surprized it hasn't been posted yet

PICS or BAN!:)

Seriously, YOU should totally DUMP HIS AS$!!!

Yes, because a woman can't stay with a man that makes less money than her. That's just not the American way.

That doesnt look like its about the money, read her post before that one. That whole relationship just looks beyond hope. They are obviously forever and a day apart on life

We've heard one side. None of us know the full details. The post quoted was completely about money and her making more than him.

How many women do you know that will stay with a man that makes less money than her? A few... but not many. Now, how exactly does that attitude fit with a) women claiming men and women should be paid equally and b) women claiming that money doesn't matter when it comes to 'love'?

in case you guys missed this, it's NOT ABOUT MONEY. i TOTALLY want to make more money than a man in ANY RELATIONSHIP. you wanna know why? so i can make the calls about my OWN LIFE. anyone else notice I also said I DON'T WANT KIDS... yet another zap on "men's" money... NEXT

Damn! Get a sex change operation already, your an Alpha male in a female body

My dad's almost 50 and sometimes I think he plays more than me. He's got a better system, and all the newest FPSes. HL2, FarCry, FEAR, Ghost Recon Advanced War Fighter... makes me jealous.

My last GF was pretty cool about me and my video games. She bought a GameCube after we started dating (I think more for me than her) and some games. She really likes the Zelda series, and I got her to play SSBM occasionally.

I stopped playing any comp games around three or four months ago. It just doesn't interest me anymore and no offense to anyone that games, but it was starting to get really adolescent and downright boring. Kids talking trash, using dumb words like pwned, etc.

Then friends wanted to LAN and form a team (CS : S). I just felt like it was my time to move on and enjoy life outside of the home instead of my office. I spend enough time at work sitting on a computer..

Buttsmacker's posts are Exhibit A as I present my case for why I never dated any of my law-school classmates. Coincidentally they are also Exhibit A as I present my case for dumping this awful, awful woman. Here is a clue for you younguns: a woman who is snide, sarcastic, and petty as a girlfriend will be ten times worse as a wife. Do yourself a favor and leave her ass to someone desperate enough to put up with her crap.

<--- 47 or 48 (too old to remember) and a gamer. Unfortunately, I can't play online anymore as I have satellite. No cable or DSL available.
Going to get FEAR next. Still play UT2K4 all the time against the bots.

actually i know a few couples like this. me and my wife are kinda like this. a buddy of mine makes well over $200k a year while his wife makes maybe 15k etc.

I think it really matters on where you put importance of money. with us its nice but we can survive without makeing tons. i dont think this is the case with them.

I'm not talking just about the money...according to her posts, she seems to consider herself better than her boyfriend in almost every way. Well, if that's how she sees things...WHY did they start dating, and WHY are they still dating? I propose a dysfunctional relationship in which she has someone who makes her feel better about herself, and he has someone who pays the bills:p

I hope for their sakes I'm completely wrong.

That's sacrilege man! Throw in an AWE32 or SB16 w/daugtherboard (Roland, DB50XG or WaveBlaster I/II) and hear what it was really supposed to sound like :D
One way you could get away easy - DOSbox (built in SB16 and GUS emu - the GUS emu works extremely well playing MODs)
