i'm 29
i dont enjoy them to the extent i used to, i'm also very picky with games and even many of those never get more than 30 hours of gameplay total (elderscrolls 4 got 28 hrs) but i think about games all the time but mainly more of how i would like a game to be
games these days just pretty much suck but am looking forward to several out later this year

I don't game much anymore. I'll be 31 soon.

It comes in waves though... I'll get the urge again when it gets too cold outside to golf ;)

I guess I'm sort of a seasonal gamer! :p

19, and I still enjoy games... but mainly only to play with my friends. I rarely play games alone anymore... even anime has become better (and I still hate most anime...)

37, I've been gaming 2/3 of my life, not going to stop now, probably never.

Got a sister of 40 with a husband of 42 or 43, both avid gamers. A bro in law who's turning 50 this year, CoD 2 and Doom 3 freak.

I'm 29 and I play every so often...mostly HL2, CS:S, Farcry, or COD2.

It gives you something to do when they claim "Not tonight, I have a headache..." :D

23 and play a lot (too much actually), but I'm stationed in Japan in the Marines, and Jap females aren't right in the head, so there's not much to do besides get drunk, and play BF2 with the guys.

40 years, started with a commodore 64 (thats 64k ram) and pong. Considering the changes (still have yet to get my system up to snuff to play Oblivion at anything more than low res) every year gets better. Life/wife/kids/work get in the way but you have to do what makes you happy. I think they'll bury me with one, at least I'll have the time to play.

Sounds like Buttsmacker is a man's woman. She knows what men like and I bet she only really likes a man who goes his own way. I also bet she bites !

I hope they love each other really, often. Thing is this, the whole man woman thing is about making babies, that is what the money is really for. When you have a baby you become like your parent, is that why she doesnt want one ? So who is the child here really ? Sounds like they are matching each other somehow, like for like, but where will that lead, I dont know and to be honest I dont care. Buts its a nice topic.

I think a lot of gamers feel a bit dirty about it. Why ? Because you are just wasting time and have nothing to show for it. It does make people more tech savvy and is more mentally stimulating than vegging with a TV and can be educational but that is about it for benefits.

At 41 I still play games, computer games I mean. Doesnt make me stupid. I play about 2 hours a day three or four days a week. I dont watch much TV which is mostly rubbish, I hate soaps and MMORPG with equal loathing. IMHO one thing they wont help you do is relax, but they can still release tension because they are play and not serious. Maybe they can even help develope a sense of humour.

People used to watch TV to be sociable, it was a family focal point like a hearth and piano in the old days. Current games are not like that, usually one or two players only. I imagine interactive entertainment might try a move into that hearth area sometime but for now that isnt the way it works. Compared to TV gaming especially PC gaming is isolating, dividing you from those nearest to you and I think that is why people can feel guilty about it, it excludes those close to them in a way TV doesnt. There is no point denying it.

I find that gaming with friends involves far more social interaction than watching television or a movie with them. We all get on voice chat and talk. After several rounds, we'll usually take a break and eat together or something. When watching television or a movie, we're just sitting in the dark vegging out watching the screen. We all make comments and laugh, but it's not as involved as gaming with/against eachother.

my g/f will only play the old mario type games cuz thier simple, todays controllers are too complicated for her...i might have to get her a Wii
i think she would enjoy them if she could just have patience to learn the controlls and do it for a while, even my mom tried to get into psone games a while back but as soon as she gets stuck she quits, didnt last long so now she never plays

women are freakn weird...lust learn the controlls and play the stupid things instead of thinking crazy thoughts that make you all b***h!!!

C'mon now... an xbox 360 cost around 500 bucks, a good video gaming system with a 20 lcd will cost around 1k. I doubt any regular "kid" would be able to buy this.
