Which just ended.

Now you can share with one, in the same household, sharing credit cards.

I don't know about that. I split the cost and we all order from that same account. Packages ship to at least three different houses. The one thing I don't like though is every time you enter a card number, it keeps it. You must go in later to delete it. But it is a minor inconvenience since I really don't order more than once a month.

The storm here on the east coast delayed two of my orders.

We have an Amazon hub here in Charlotte, NC and I have ordered stuff at 11pm at night and have it by noon the next day... So being close to the hub balances out for me and the weather delay can't be avoided. Everything, including fedex, ups and the USPS was effed up good here since last Friday. Today things were finally getting back to normal.

Many of my Prime UPS > USPS packages get delivered on Sunday. Plus, with the $20/40 dongle, you get Prime Video.

Of course after I came in here and said I didn't have issues. A package is three days late and my last order is going to be 4 business days to get here with all in stock items. If I was willing to pay for 1 day, it would've gotten here tomorrow.

Looks like they are starting to do the same thing with prime that they did with super saver.

It's kind of funny how so many people feel the need to rag about "first world problems" and all but they somehow felt the need to say that. Sixty five posts and counting. Move along, nothing to see here...

How dare people want to get the service they pay for!

You're basically sharing your entire account, you aren't "officially" just sharing "Prime." I think the terms for "official sharing" used to be more liberal, but currently there's a way to set up Prime so that one other adult not in the same household (and several others, theoretically "minors", in the same household) can "share" Prime without actually using the same account, though everyone sharing it can, I believe, see everyone else's CC info (and though I'm not sure, maybe their order history too?) either way...

interesting, i just ordered a few things on amazon, X-Files blu-ray set is on sale till 11:59 PM today for $129 if anyone is interested, it defaulted to the free 4-5 day shipping. had to select 2 day. Even being 10:40 AM EST, its estimated delivery time is the 28th which is 3 days. We'll see if i get it in two. i don't really care, but figured i try and post here sense this came up again.

I do seem to remember they made an announcement that they wouldn't always be able to honor the free 2 day shipping due to cut backs or something.

~sigh~ today tracking says it will be delivered by tomorrow by 8 PM. With 2 day shipping and ordered by 10:40 in the morning on the 25th, it should be here today. It's even in a city that is 20 miles from here. arrived there at 1:30 AM this morning. Hasn't left. That's the location most UPS stuff coming to me gets put on the truck for delivery. but NO, it's fucking sure post which means they're going to had it off to the post office and sense i didn't have my PO Box on there, means i have to go talk to them and have them dig through their pile of undeliverable mail, probably Friday..... But it may even end up back on a delivery truck again so it will not be found. I've had that happen before too.

UPS and FedEX hand off to the post office needs to stop. Or they need to make it very clear they are going to use it. They are not consistent about it either. I don't even care about it being 3 days instead of 2, i'm pissed it's being sent to the post office instead of me directly. I'll file yet another complaint about this hand off crap to amazon and not being able to pick our carrier, but it amounts to nothing.

Edit: oh, the order wasn't even sent to UPS until 3:43 PM on the 26th. Coming from Chester, VA.

If people are going to cry about timely delivery of their online purchases it should be required that they post the order details so everyone is on the same page regarding the absolute insignificance of the crap being bought.

I bought the x-files series on blu-ray, happy? and as someone else stated, we are paying for a service they sold us but aren't supplying correctly to everyone.

next time you lose your internet or electricity, be sure not to complain about it. ok?

If they can't process the order fast enough for 2 day delivery when placed in the morning, they should be up front about it. And they just need to stop doing the hand off to USPS. period. I'm fine with USPS as long as i know to use my PO Box in the address. Hell, in the case of this order, if they hadn't done the USPS hand off, it would have been two day delivery. Overnight technically seeing as they didn't process the order until the next afternoon.

They shipped it on the 26th and it's supposed to arrive on the 28th. That sounds like 2 day to me.

as my previous posts say, i ordered it on the 25th at about 10:40 AM EST. They took over 24 hours to process and ship it. i can understand this if i'd ordered it after 2 PM or 4 PM. but 10:40 AM and you can't ship it that afternoon? Really?

Edit: AND they used UPS smart post..... :-/
Edit2: also, as stated before, i really don't care about it taking 3-4 days. or 7. as long as that's what i'm expecting and they ship it through ONE carrier and not hand it off to another one.

You equate an x-files disc with the importance of internet access or electricity? :)

So those of you who are getting extra months of Prime for slow shipping, what the longest that you have gone after your year membership ran out before you had to pay for Prime again?

Even then, no one buys electricity or Internet access and expected that there will NEVER be a momentary service interruption, disruption, or degradation.

"My Comcast isn't 300Mbps all the time every time no matter what I am doing with it! Waaaaaaah!"

Yeah I've actually seen this happening a lot more. I thought it was the storms lately, but even stuff at work is arriving later & later. I just ordered an HDMI cable and it's not showing up until next Tuesday, reason being:

Free Prime shipping once available

This was for a 25-foot Amazon Basics HDMI cable. Really, you don't have a basic HDMI cable ready to ship until next week? Cancelled that & found a different one instead. I don't like this new tagline...it is kinda scammy. They should just say "in stock on X day" like other products and not try to fool you with the big Prime logo

I live close enough to major Amazon warehouses that prime shipping used to mean free overnight shipping. Sometime in the past year or so, no matter how early it is in the day that I order, they will not bother shipping out items until the next day if shipping the day I order means I will get it next day.

They've gone way down hill.
