Eh, I think the only reason Hamilton didn't get a penalty was because Vettel didn't get one. If the stewards had given Hamilton a penalty over crowding Massa and making contact but not have given Vettel a penalty for crowding Button and running him somewhat off the track, McLaren would have gone apeshit. Both of those incidents were penalty worthy, but with the stewards not doing anything with Vettel there was no way they could have given Hamilton a penalty without a huge shitstorm. In the end it doesn't matter, a penalty to Vettel wouldn't have changed a thing in regards to the title.

Well, I don't want to hear another word about Schumacher's swerves at the start...

Yeah, I thought Vettel deserved a penalty for that. He had Button on the grass and forced him to lift. Very dangerous...and not very sportsmanlike at all.

Did you see the BBC footage after the race.. when Button, Vettle and Alonso were waiting in a room before the presentation?

Button was still angry about the incident after the race, and after congratulating Vettel, he made his feelings clear by asking the German: "Didn't you see me at the start?"
Vettel grinned and replied "you were behind", to which Button responded: "Come, on - halfway alongside. OK, that's how we're racing then."

Oooh, no idea Button confronted Vettel about it. That should hopefully make things interesting for the remaining four races.

Yeah I never thought of Button being like that as he's now Mr. Smooth. But kudos to him having the balls to call Vettel out on it.

Could Will Buxton have asked any more inane questions during that post race interview? I was hoping he would at least ask Button and Vettel for their version of the opening lap move.

He may as well have said to each driver, "Great race, now who would you like to thank?" And then he let Vettel prattle on for 10 minutes about absolutely nothing.

he's mr. smooth personality, but i think his reputation for being smooth on the tires is overstated. 2 of his mclaren wins came after he was the first to shred his tires, and had things fall his way. still a damn good driver and funny as hell.

I think he was just being sarcastic, I don't think Button is the type to hold a grudge against another driver like Hamilton does.

I couldn't get most of what Seb said on the BBC feed but it was to the tune of "I only saw your front wheel" to which Button replied something like "we were side by side, I was almost in the grass."

It seemed like one of those things you say that is sarcastic but you are still jabbing. Kind of an uncomfortable, is he being sarcastic or honest.

The guy kept telling them to hurry to get to the podium and somewhat talked over the two of them. I will rip the audio if anyone wants to hear it...

After two wet practice sessions... it looks like qualifying would be dry. I was hoping the rain would cause some chaos and somebody would break Red Bull's pole streak this weekend.

Might as well have started from the pole. Hamilton was in the lead for about 1 corner...

Hamilton was extraordinarily lucky that they intercepted the Red Bull pit chatter as well and pulled him in according the presser. Looked like RBR was going to undercut Hamilton on a new set of primes and he pitted at the last second. It seemed like Hamilton had a good setup for qualifying but RBR had a better race setup and I think Webber should have had the speed to take over. The long straight proved to be somewhat uneventful for passing as you couldn't run two wide into either the exit or entry corner and the DRS helped get you alongside the car in front but the front car need only stay on the racing line to head you off.

The race between Webber and Hamilton was worth watching the rest was somewhat poor. Without a look at the scenery and the camera angles down the long straight it looked like the cars were slow. It didn't really seem packed for fans either with a purpose built stadium. I really thought Korea had a lot more from a circuit perspective after the little they got into last year but maybe I was wrong.

Oh well India in two weeks, which should be interesting.
