I can't believe Lewis kept himself in check while behind Michael. I was expecting him to get so frustrated and just crash, taking out both of them. Hopefully he's maturing. It got kinda boring after lap 30ish.

I've learned that Button is actually a way better driver than Hamilton. Button just takes the position when he's faster. Hamilton sits back and fools around and finally whines that the car won't move over. Or he runs into the other car.

Hamilton is more brash and tends to push the car or a track position too far at times, Button is smooth, fast, and he shines in situations where being cool and patient pay off. They are just different driving styles.

Button is also known for his amazing ability to save tires while turning in fast lap times. The guy is smooth.

I don't agree. I think Hamilton was deliberately careful around Schumi this race because he's had a tough time getting to the finish line the last few races (lets forget for the moment that Schumi was pushing the rules to the limit with the number of blocking moves he was making). He said so himself before the race - that he wanted to be a bit careful and actually finish a race. If you look at his last few races, he's been very aggressive compared to how he was in this race.

In terms of sheer talent, I think Hamilton is a tad better than Button when it comes to qualifying. But Button is a lot smoother in his driving style, and that helps with tire wear - especially near the last few laps of the races.

The Mercedes was just way faster on the straight than Hamilton's McLaren. It was so much faster that even the DRS didn't help. The Mercedes was still faster than the McLaren with the wing open.

When asked about having to muscle his way past Felipe Massa on his outlap, Hamilton shrugged off the incident and said it didn't affect his lap.

"The guys always try to back you up and I was ready to get going so I was trying to get past and he was blocking and blocking and blocking, and eventually I got past. My lap was pretty good but I got held up by Fernando (Alonso); I was about a second behind Fernando at the end so I lost a little bit in my second sector. The pace is good and I feel good for tomorrow."

i am hating this fucking guy these days. let me know when something happens that IS his fault....

vettel needs 1 more point, and shamilton crashes into somebody yet again

Hamilton should be given a 2 race ban or something. Fucker is losing his ability to drive. Either he is completely idiotic and dangerously aggressive, or he becomes a complete pussy and doesn't do shit.

If you ask me, Button should be the #1 driver for McLaren next year. He's delivered consistently this year (at least the 2nd half), and while his driving style may not get the audiences heart rate up, you can't fault his smooth driving style and the ability to take care of the car & tires to a good finish.

Agreed on Button being the #1 next season. As for Hamilton, I think he can't handle no longer being the center of the F1 world. Vettel shows up and starts mopping the floor with everything Hamilton has done, Hamilton can't handle not being the It guy in F1.

I agree. Button has made him look somewhat ordinary this season. The brain fades don't help either. Quite surprising considering his fans consider him the 2nd coming of Senna. :hmm: He's still the most entertaining driver on the grid though.
