1. What YOUR PC will be used for. That means what types of tasks you'll be performing.
120hz gaming, Unity VR programming
2. What YOUR budget is. A price range is acceptable as long as it's not more than a 20% spread
3. What country YOU will be buying YOUR parts from.
5. IF YOU...
I've been living with a gt610 since my gtx 265 broke and playing some e-sports games with the minimum settings once every few weeks hasn't made me miss a gaming PC at all. I watch more TV serials instead too so quietness has become more important and I'd like to tend more towards an HTPC.
I hope this isn't against the rules (as I didn't see anything on that), but I need help.
My video card (and PSU) died the other day, and while the PSU (Seasonic 750W) was at the very end of its 5-year warranty period (Seasonic is awesome) and was replaced, the card was not.
If you are lazy to read, please skip the introduction part :)
Hello guys, I'm new to this forum and I'm hoping to get some help from more experienced people .

I'm a bit stuck with a build that I finished based on the Ryzen 5 2400G. The problem is that it do not post. When I turn it on it spins the case fan and CPU fan without posting and then stops and reboots - and this cycle will continue until I turn it off. I tried connecting both with HDMI &...
I made a new pc, and I get this problem: "Application [insert application name here] has been blocked from accessing graphics hardware". In the context of a game, when I get this error I crash to desktop. In context of chrome, I get a flash of black screen for a second.
I have tried...

After weeks of researching around and evaluating a lot of stuff, i have finally picked the parts required to build my PC. This will serve as my work and gaming pc for the NEXT 3 ~ 5 YEARS to come by, without any other planned future upgrades.
I am an application developer and i'll be spending...
It's been 7 years since I built my first PC. And you guys helped me do it (I still remember Mfenn helping me every step of the way - I wonder if he's still around).
That badboy ran for a solid 4 years, kicking every game's ass. It wasn't until 2015 that I had to upgrade my GPU since my old EVGA...
Hello builders and enthusiasts,
I'm designing my new rig for the end of 2017 - early middle 2018. It's the first time for me to build a system from scratch. But I've read a lot and tried to keep myself updated with the new trends.
I put together a few parts (pc part picker link below) and will...

I'm Chip, and it's been a really long time since I've built myself a computer. I recently put one together and decided to house it in a NZXT S340. I could not be happier with the case. Easy to build in, great looking and massive inside. Anyhow, I've been trying to decide on an AIO...

I used to love legos when I was a kid. Fantastic toys, they allow you to use your imagination while building engineering skills, dexterity and motor control.
Now I have kids of my own and they like legos too so I "help" them ;) build stuff. What I don't like is that modern legos seem to be...
Hello everybody! So, I am pretty sure that I just bricked by computer. But I'm not really sure how I got here. I'm hoping you guys can tell me what went wrong/what did I do wrong. This all started when I decided to upgrade my rig with some Black Friday sales. The new components are as follows...
I have parts for a high end PC and I was thinking about taking them to micro center but was scared off by bad reviews. Yes I know how to build, I just can not justify the time and energy. My previous build gave me more problems than it was worth, defective parts, bios issues etc. I have...
Hello. I've been a member here for 5 years and, in short, have been waiting several months for BF to upgrade my MOBO/GPU/CPU and would like some advice for the best deals/compatibility.
Also, if you would recommend replacement of other parts (i.e. RAM) I'm all ears, as I'm not sure how long...
Greetings, a complete novice here.
I just started research for building my first PC for gaming etc, and there is definitely a lot to lose yourself in.
Based on some digging, I've reached the point where I have a good idea what my budget is - I won't say because I live in Canada. A $1000 spent...
I would like to ask for your opinions regarding a server build.
I was asked to get a server for a small company, in order to replace an old one (HP ProLiant ML110 G5 upgraded to 4Gb RAM) that is just struggling to be up to the job.
The company has 4 computers in a windows network, which...
