I hadnt paid to much attention to them to be honest. I just know RampantAndroid loves his. I saw one or two at the LGS last time i was there (while ago to be honest).

Still sucks i hate seeing any business suffer like that. Although i have heard rumors (and they are rumors) CZ is going to expand and make more gun models in the states since they can update the factory.

:D It IS awesome as a carry gun, though I ALMOST bought the S&W scandium framed 1911. It's probably just a step below the CCO I have IMO, though it does have a full sized grip as well, making it slightly harder to conceal.

Hopefully DW gets back up soon, are they still making a 10mm 1911 style gun? (err, will they be?)

Oooh. What gun are these going on?

S&W VTAC2: http://www.smith-wesson.com/webapp/...57785_757784_757784_ProductDisplayErrorView_Y

nice setup! Ive shot a buddies with the ACOG (believe it was same model) and the larue QD. Nice setup for sure!

youll pony up 1k+ on an ACOG then complain about a 300 dollar light :) The TLR-1's are pretty nice though and ive been looking at getting on myself.

Either way awesome setup youll be getting! Im just to cheap to toss that much into optics (im more of a ~500 max guy haha)

Believe me, I did NOT want to pay 1200 for that ACOG...but I realize good glass WILL cost me. My 3.5-10x30mm Leupold scope wasn't cheap either. I just cannot justify $300 for a light however, given Surefire's cheaper ones usually break down if used as a weaponlight - whereas a TLR1 meant for a handgun holds up fine while costing just under $100.

As for Surefire, I'll be returning the muzzle brake before I open it. They changed their suppressor mounts again. If I ever do suppress, it won't be with those clowns, it'll be with Gemtech or someone else who is a better name.

True good glass does cost money. I was more just teasing. Id love an ACOG i just dont know about being stuck with a 4x all the time since sometimes i just have fun at much closer ranges. Kinda why i went the eotech route for mine. But if i had the extra money id go for an ACOG and switch them around base don what i was doing

Let me know how you like the TLR1...been thinking of getting one for awhile now for my nightstand gun...just havent pull the trigger on one yet.

Local (ish) to us and very customer friendly. They are willing to do range days with their suppressors too so you can test them out before buying. Prices aint to bad either. Ill probably go test out their 308 suppressor one of these days to see how it does.

I've been running a TLR-1S on my AR for a couple years now. I have it mounted at nine o'clock and is the perfect position to be operated by my support hand so no pressure switch. The beam is a wide beam so it's great for indoors but don't expect a lot of distance outside. It's bright but isn't going to blind you with light bounce from interior walls. For me it's pretty much the perfect light. Cheap, light weight, and extremely effective for my use.

I'll have to see if they're in stock nearby - a friend pointed me towards Yankee Hill Machine, who look to be pretty good too. Main thing I want is a 308 can that works on 556 and even 300winmag if possible.

Thinking of this guy.

I've handled a friend's TLR1, and this is the main reason I want one. Works well enough for him and is bright. I'll probably leave the switch on for the AR, and go pressure switch for my Mossberg.

Those are nice. I was looking at that ( still am actually). Where you going to order it from? I've gotten my last two through chip at cascade arsenal (call for pricing don't go by website)

Think I'm sold on the tlr1 everyone seems to like them

Going to the range Tuesday with my brother in law. We'll have 250 rounds of 9mm at our disposal, a bunch of .40 and a bunch of .22. And maybe some 12ga if he brings his shotgun. Guns will be CZ 75 SP-01, Ruger SR22, Glock 22, Henry Goldenboy, and a Remington 870 (think that's what it is). Yay. :awe:

Sounds like a blast (pun intended). Have fun!

Since I already own the right arm of the free world, I decided to pick up the left arm of oppressed world.

Got my first AK-47, an Arsenal SA M-7.

Bought some Wolf 7.62x39 at Walmart; I'll take it out to the range tomorrow.

i don't think that's possible. you can get one for 308 that will also do 300 wm but not one that will also also work with 5.56.

You can shoot a 223/556 through a 308 can. It wont be quite as good as a dedicated 223 can but shouldnt be more than a few db difference. 30 cal cans can shoot anything smaller than a 30cal bullet size just fine. Now if it was a pistol suppressor shooting rifle rounds youd be in trouble since they are made a bit different. Although the osprey45 can shoot 300 blackout subsonic rounds only through it. But no supersonic rifle rounds.

Yup - I have a friend doing that with the Osprey - but you need to modify it to use it on a rifle it seems.

But yeah, a 30 cal can will work on all things smaller than 30cal.

I rented a full auto MP5 at the range yesterday and needless to say it was absolutely insane. It was actually a lot easier to control on full auto than I expected. It definitely did eat ammo though, we went through close to $200 worth of 9mm and could have probably gone through twice that if we had more than two mags for it.

For the osprey all you need is the piston for the 300blackout. No need to modify it as far as I know.

They are fun but expensive. I shot one and after 60 rounds was done. Go through ammo to much and putting holes in paper was only so much fun for me on full auto. Still a fun experience for sure!

That is one hell of a first AK. More and more becoming a collector's piece.

So you like your Single Six hey? I'm kinda torn between that (or a Single Ten) and a Browning Buckmark (or Mark II/III I guess too).
I like my Single Six, it's accurate and of course has a .22 mag cylinder. (I actually have 2 of each)
But I have more fun shooting my SR22 and scoped 10/22.

So is the SR22 pretty much the new great thing when it comes to shooting .22? It didn't seem that mind bending when I used it lol.

It's nothing really special, but it's relatively small, comfortable, light weight, and works pretty well. Mine has a FTF from time to time, but for cheap .22 plinking, who cares?

I wouldn't go out of my way to get an SR22 specifically, but it's not bad for a .22 plinker if you don't have one yet.
