I have not played the game but all the fuss I have read makes it sound like it is something that breaks the game. So I am assuming that is the case. I am sure you have heard of the pay to win model and from a lot of the arguments, I was under the impression that this game weighed heavily on that model when playing online with someone who payed for all the cars.
If what you say is true, then I think a lot of people are making a mountain out of an ant hill.
This...if you play the career, you get tons of money to buy whatever you want. When you buy tokens you can avoid career mode and still get the cars. There's no difference except one person was lazy. With the DLC cars, none of them will be significantly better than others in it's class. The LaFerrari isn't tons better than the McLaren P1 for example. Nothing is broken. People are just pissed because the game was released for launch but with "only" 200 cars and 14 tracks. As I said before, every car I care to have is available in the game without any DLC. I would be willing to purchase track packs later to extend the value for my gameplay.
