Worst Super Bowl Halftime show ever...

I thought it was bad in an awesome way. I think that perhaps horrible halftime shows should be part of every superbowl from now on... it can become a tradition just like funny commercials.

I thought the Black Eyed Peas were doing bar mitzvahs these days. They are they worst shit on earth. All they come out with is bad remakes of 80's songs.

The V didn't light up, they constantly forgot to turn on/up mics... Forget the singing. That said, the choreography was pretty cool, Fergi is hot, and SCoM was probably the highlight of the half-time show...

The sound was HORRIBLE! I don't know what the superbowl was thinking. BEP have performed on things like American Idol and Soyouthinkyoucandance before and they always sound terrible live....just terrible. There music is only good when it's "produced" in a studio.

They are a manufactured band.

When you rely on Autotune, that usually means you can't sing on key yourself w/o help.

The half time show has been a colossal waste of time and money for years. They seem to think they can get a band up there for 3 songs with a whole big production od a temporary mobile stage in front of a bunch of people running out to get half-time munches before the next Dog doing something funny or hot woman commercial.

As for Old vs New.... I saw the Rolling Stones performance way back. MAN that was bad. Out of tune, out of energy, just BAD! For some reason they all seem to concentrate more on production than actual musical quality.

If that was the case, why don't they just bring on some musical production or Blue Man instead of getting artists that play musical things like Concerts? If they think they need to put on a show, then go for the showmen, not the musicians (good or bad).

Besides, this is FOOTBALL. Most of who watch it would be happier if you put up some soft-core pr0n for 20 minutes than what has been shown. But, if that happened, what would they tell Jr and how would he ever be able to buy Doritoes again??!?!?

It's for mass consumption. The musical equivalent of McDonald's. If we're going by record sales, people seem to like the Black Eyed Peas. I'm not a Black Eyed Peas fan, but they could do a lot worse. Like last year. LOL. What a disaster. A couple of geriatrics running around playing songs half the audience hasn't even ever heard.

The Who is an iconic group, but it's not a Superbowl Halftime Show.

Sounds like I made the right choice when I walked out of the room at the half time whistle, and came back as they kicked off the second half.

You can do a billion times better than metallica.

They should freaking resurrect Ronnie James Dio and show the whole goddamn world how to sing.

Maybe. but metallica is the only (somewhat) metal band popular enough to pull it off. Their following is not limited to hardcore metalheads.

I don't think you have to be a metalhead to feel pumped after listening to "Stand up and Shout"

I don't really consider myself a metalhead and still love Dio.

i think the vast majority of superbowl viewers would rather see black eyed peas and christina aguilera. the nfl markets itself as overwhelmingly positive and inclusive.
