But the thing about alcohol is that when it expires the alcohol content disappears. So really, you're just buying sour water.

Nope, both rang up (oil and vinegar), nothing came up on the screen but their respective prices.

Its obvious when you purchase the two together that the computer's internal meth flag goes away because it shows intent to mix and put on a salad. Only when purchasing it alone or with other items not related to food does the internal flag come into play and you must sign the book.

Oh, and one time I bought some bologna and the cashier asked me if I was crazy, but since I didn't have to sign a form, I never thought of it again until now.

Horseshit. I've bought vinegar all by itself a couple of times now and never have signed a form for it. Have you had to sign a form for some balsemic vinegar?

I read the post up to the word "blizzard" and laughed knowing that it has been 95+ since late June.

Try buying baking soda too and see if they react. The only thing I can think of as far as danger is vinegar+baking soda+ glass bottle .
Here they require id and signature for dry ice now because people were making dry ice bombs,

Hmmm, getting low, perfect timing.
I'll stop on the way home from work and see if they break out the form again.
Repeat offender; you may get the cavity search.

Don't get your hopes up too high, though, they may settle for a background check...

I was going to get you this for Christmas, but the largest size they make is 3X.

Look there's only one way to clear this up. An ATOTer nearby is going to have to dress up as the FBI and request the security tapes for Dave's purchase. Then we can see if there were any forms signed or not. Actually if there's someone that actually works in LE in the area it would probably be easier, you could even question the cashier at the time.

Also:
One small bottle like maybe 4 or 6 ounces?
I was thinking, does vinegar come in travel sizes. But then it turns out to be a 16 oz bottle.

Let me make this real easy for all of you. I called the store and spoke to Steven, the only restricted access form they have are at the service desks. They aren't at the registers.

and I'll make it even easier for you.

I said it wasn't paper from the beginning, it was the same as like at the Pharmacy, had to sign on the touchscreen.
