I fall into the category of an Asian who speaks English as a first language. I always felt out of place hanging out with people who spoke nothing but Mandarin, and people looked at me funny when I couldn't speak Chinese with them. It's not my fault my parents are from Hong Kong and speak Cantonese!!!
i think in 50-100yrs, Cantonese could be dead.
