To drink REAL American beer, is to have yourself a fine Samuel Adams. :p
I mean, you know it's gotta be a delicious American brew when it's named after a great man. Who brewed beer. For the deliciousness.

Good attempt, poor choice in beers to attempt with. Sam Adams is a good beer, but no macrobrew on the planet beats Portland's microbrews. If you want good beer you either come to Portland or go to Germany or Belgium.

didn't we send a few raids into Canada during that one, you know...to take over? Or was that the Revolutionary War? I know The US sent in a few invasion forces, very small, during the earlier years of our existence. They may not have been "sanctioned" though. :p

Colorado Micros = Portland Micros = CA micros. thousands upon thousands of great brews down here.

Canada has some good beers much like ours. They suffer from the same reputation in that their mass-produced swill that everyone knows them for is just as terrible as our mass-produced swill.

Portland is the microbrew capital of the world, mate. Our brews > your brews.

There was a smmall group of Irish Immigrants that did that for awhile. Can't remeber their name or the dates, but they were attacking because of the Northern Ireland situation. The US Government at first didn't do anything, but eventually the US Navy intervened stopping one of their attempted raids. Kinda fizzled after that.

American did invade Canada during the War of 1812. Many Americans thought it would be a cakewalk, but we were basically repulsed. A lot of Canadians were resettled Tories who had supported GB during our War of Independence . They were still loyal to the crown. Most of the French Canadians were Catholics and Catholics were by and large discriminated against in the States at that time.

So, British regulars together with several allied Indian tribes plus Canadian militia were more than a match for the US forces.

I really don't care about Canada one way or the other. But it is really fun to make fun of their tank.

Don't forget other fine Midwest micros, we have a few good ones in Nebraska, and Boulevard out of Kansas City has some tasty offerings.

You wanna know why KT? You guys fly through Bellingham like I5 is the autobahn. You raise our fuel prices by swinging over to the border because fuel is so expensive up there. Most of you are rude and inconsiderate when you come down here. And, quit coming to our grocery stores and buying all of our cheese. I love cheese damnit! ;)

Ya, there was more though. Just read about it recently, but can't recall the name of the Raids.

Heh, I knew my AP US history wasn't always full of shit....
And this was BEFORE Canada had their tank.

Funny, as the Catholic hate still lingers. Recall that with JFK being teh first catholic POTUS, his handlers worked on downplaying his Catholicism during the Campaign. Hell, even Kerry had "issues" to deal with b/c of it.

We attacked canada and won at montreal in the revolutionary war, we also attacked and lost at quebec... and were driven back to ticonderoga by the brits before the end of 1777.
