How can you expect Randal to support the decision to hire Rebecca when he just spent the last 10 minutes stating why she SHOULDNT be the apprentice? I would have questioned his judgement had he suggested she be hired. Randal made the right decision as he truly didn't feel she was ready for the position. You don't just give someone a job out of charity.

if you weren't so self centered you'd realize that not everyone lives in the same time zone as you. fortunately I have been burned before by this forum and didn't read anything after the show started on the east coast so I was spoiler proof.
btw Randal sucks. Rebecca is wise beyond her years and tough as hell.

Agreed 100%. It would make Randal look weak and as if he didn't put any thought into his criticisms of Rebecca. I bet that a lot less people would be complaining if it was someone else, considering everyone faps at the thought of Rebecca.

she had to beat randall by a fair margin in the last event to have a chance and she didn't

this makes no sense. there are two separate projects. rebecca wanted the other project. it would have served the DT organization very well to put the best of the best on each project. randal to what he wanted - AC restorations, and Rebecca to what she wanted the NJ towers.
there is no cross over and no more competition. it would simply add to his list existing apprentices. given how smart randal is, i'm suprised he didn't see that there will never only be a single apprentice.
personally, i think she'll be hired by his organization, not for sedimental reasons, but because it make very good sense.

You make no sense. It's a competition. In the end there should be only one winner. You can't expect two people to share a gold medal/two teams to share a super bowl trophy. Business is competition. To succeed you have to WANT to be the winner. Rebecca can still be hired to run the project after the show is over if she really is a talent. But Randal absolutely did the right thing. On that show, there can only be one winner.
It does make sense, Randall only chose the AC renovations, because that is what Trump wanted to hear. The AC properties are a losers in his holdings, no one with a complete brain would chose to attach their name to a money losing venture, it it doesn't take off Randall is just goiong to be used as a scape goat. Also the AC area is crap too.
Randall just didn't want Rebecca to have the NJ Towers project because it is going to be 10X easier to do that and the she'll out shine him.
I really want a piece of Toral's ass. She might be a bitch, but I'll shape that ****** up in no time.
As for Randal, I lost all respect for him. I'd pretty much been rooting for him the whole season, but he made a jackass of himself. He had a golden opportunity to be a gracious winner and look even BETTER in Trump's eyes, but the spotlight blinded him.
I think Trump should have hired her anyway, if for no other reason than to knock Randal back down to Earth.
