If firefox 101 is crashing its because your extensions are conflicting or one or more is corrupted. Its doubtful its a problem with the browser.

there is another thread already posted in OT with 4 or 5 people having hte same problem

There were a few big bugs in 1.0.1 which is why they're planning on releasing 1.0.2 in the next few days.

Actually, I guess they just recompiled it.

If anyone is having trouble, just redownload it.

Nothing would motivate me to switch back to IE. I never liked IE to begin with.

Things just stop working well with Netscape and was unaware of mozilla at the time.

Add tabs IE!!! (i know you can add on shiit to do this, I just want it fully integrated)

oh, if you want tabs with IE, just get MyIE2.

read the part where i don't want add-ons :p

You see, that's what I don't understand. People won't take one single add-on for IE, but they'll use 20 extensions for Firefox. :roll:

As for me? I wouldn't switch to FireFox.

As for me? I switch to IE every day for work and for WinUpdates. Opera is still my browser of choice :)

So until IE can beat Opera functionality wise, never :)

extensions and security

I'm sick of FF using 100MB RAM with 1 window open cause I have Azureus which takes care of that for me already. :|

There's something I never much liked about Maxthon, but I can't place it...

And I only use IE for pesky sites and windows update (which I haven't done in awhile :eek:)

1) You are either really lucky or your spyware removal program is really crap
2) Same as 1
3) There is an option in sp2, don't thank IE for that one
4) That is because firefox is not preloaded during windows startup. IE is. That is why IE is also so much more dangerous to use (security anyone?)
5) which pages? have you timed this?
6) don't blame firefox, blame lazy programmers who can't code well. this has NOTHING to do with firefox.

1-3: Excuses, excuses, excuses.
4: Define dangerous. I've never had any problems.
5: :roll:
6: It obviously has something to do with Firefox... if IE will display them correctly, and FF won't. Stop making excuses.

I use IE 6 still, no problems whatsoever that I know of but I don't really care about security either.

fixed.
:confused:

basically, I was calling him naive.

:roll: oh please, just because you have problems with keeping safe browsing habits, you need to call me naive? Firefox, Opera, cure for cancer, AIDS, stupidity, they still won't help people like you in the long run.

I'll probably never go back to IE. Not with FF and its extensions at my disposal. Everything integrates so nicely...IE can't match it

I'll probably never switch back, even if they make it more secure and pilfer every other good & creative feature from all the other browsers which I'm sure they'll do.

When I use IE for Windows Update, I feel so dirty I have to take a shower afterwards. ;)

I havn't switched away from IE. I just use maxathon. Gives you all of the benefits everyone goes nuts for in FF.

I will, if IE has the following features:

* Fast
* good security
* mouse gestures
* less on system resources

Maxthon

What the hell. I was planning to come to this thread and post the exact same message.

Well actually I was planning to write:
"Maxthon!! Maxthon!!@~~"

Stop stealing my idea.

Even if you use firefox, you should install maxthon for those times when you need the ie engine and still want all the other good stuff. And it's free. I haven't bothered with firefox myself, in quite a few months.

I never stopped using IE. It's worked perfectly for me and I have NEVER had a virus or spyware on my system.

Most of the trolls remember my challenge:

Send me to a website that puts spyware on my system without my knowledge or approval.

No one has been able to do this. Why? Because if your security settings in IE are correct, you MUST click OK to a prompt to get spyware on your system.

IE would need tabbed browsing, mouse gestures, and a huge selection of used extensions. Furthermore, to get there, I propose that Google take ownership of IE. :p
