I never stopped using IE. It's worked perfectly for me and I have NEVER had a virus or spyware on my system.
wow, i guess being "Elite" keeps all the dumbass trolls of your back eh? I want one too!I say the same thing and I get jumped in less than 10 minutes.
Most of the trolls remember my challenge:
Send me to a website that puts spyware on my system without my knowledge or approval.
No one has been able to do this. Why? Because if your security settings in IE are correct, you MUST click OK to a prompt to get spyware on your system.

I could do that very readily back in the day, but since I stopped using IE for stuff, I've gradually forgotten all the slums to avoid. IE did get significantly better in the months leading up to FF's rise, though. Back in IE5, there were enough exploits to fill a HDD with spyware in 30 freaking seconds in some corners of the internet. I honestly don't know (and don't care to know) if IE is secure now, I have a system that works for me, and I'll keep using it until it becomes a target of opportunity for the malware companies, and then I'll shift again.

The first time I go to a website that doesn't work properly.
Oh wait, that already happened, and I switched back.

IE is my preferred browser.
* Never got spyware.
* Never got adware.
* Never got popups.
* Firefox cannot beat IE's launch speed.
* IE loads webpages faster for me.
* IE renders code better for me.

IE would need tabbed browsing, mouse gestures, and a huge selection of used extensions. Furthermore, to get there, I propose that Google take ownership of IE.![]()
