Bought a couple of various family / extended family members, look pretty much new and upgrades to (at least) Android 6.0.

Forgot to mention, the Tab Lite is $100 Canadian so like $65 American -- it only goes up to Android 4.4. Completely disposable. Smartphone options, especially the older Samsung S4 and S5 look attractive though.

And I was eating lunch and accidentally pushed my knife off the plate which was on a stool with my bare feet under -- I hate the fact that many knives are handle-heavy, they always tip off plates. Didn't get stabbed and I think the nice hit the carpet pretty flat too. Oh, and I hate carpets. Can't keep this shit clean without vacuuming weakly. Give me bare wood/laminate so I can Swiffer it.

Oh ouch that sucks. I always worry that for some reason reason something happens where I end up owing an insane amount like that. Taxes can be weird. I give a lot to charity and have RRSPs though so I should be in the clear. I usually get a bit over a grand back.

Well, got my commercial liability quote -- waiting for a second but it's in line with the second's ballpark. Roughly where I expected it to be. Was hoping for something a couple hundred lower but there's virtually no overhead so if I can't make more than the premium, I shouldn't even bother.

Edit: And it looks like I'm going to be contributing to the loss of jobs from automation. Online insurance broker for cookie-cutter professions is quoting me just over 1/3 the price of the live, real insurance brokers. I even read the policy and it covers essentially the exact same stuff except one item I can live without. I could live with a couple hundred dollar difference, but the difference is almost a grand.

Went to image the secretary's computer today. Plugged in my flash drive with partedmagic, and the external backup drive. Reboot, hit f12, pick usb as my boot device, and, nothing... no bootable image found.

Huh... Pull my flash drive, plug into a rear port. Shouldn't matter, but it sometimes did back in the day. Reboot. Error...

Go into bios, and poke around. Everything looks ok. Disable some uneeded stuff so I wouldn't completely waste a trip, Reboot. Error...

wtf?! Bad drive? Reboot again, cause the magic bits may have aligned, and it'll work this time...That worked as well as expected...

Go back to my desk with my drives, and intend on testing my flash drive. Remember I have a bootable cd of partedmagic, say fuck it, and use that even though I despise optical media. It's the 21st century's floppy drive...

That works ok, but slow. As it's booting up I'm looking at the external drive plugged into the computer. #$&@!! The computer was looking at the external drive when I wanted to boot from my flash drive!

My daily dose of stupid, but I got the machine imaged, eventually... :^S

Yesterday, I noticed a familiar user name on a Reddit sub-forum related to the other forum. Checked his post history on Reddit and again, joined a few weeks ago, only wrote stuff promoting that product.

My cleaning lady used way too strong of cleaner concentrations and now my house smells like cancer. I have all windows open and furnace blower turned on and it's starting to get cold. Despite having two desktops, 3 laptops, and a tablet, as well as enough spare parts for two more computers, I am unable to get my gaming rig up and running. Swapped out the MB and CPU and windows just doesnt wanna install. Keeps giving me trouble. By the time I realized I would need to upgrade to Windows 10, Best Buy was already closed. The good news is Amazon can have everything I need by tomorrow afternoon, so thank Buddha for UPS.

Lol windows never ceases to amaze me in how it get randomly go full retard. My work computer the other day just randomly started freezing up, the cursor was all choppy and apps were not redrawing properly. It did it for long enough to be super aggravating since I was in the middle of a phone call trying to do something with a tech on the line.

Seriously. I've seen this happen even on non-Internet-connected machines with no risk of virus or malware infection. Love my Chromebook!

The only objection I have to it is the convection fan. It was quiet to start but now it makes a rattling noise. I don't really care as long as it works but it would nice if it were quiet.

Mine is the same. Initially it was a little loud, but now it sounds like a bunch of marbles. I really should check into the warranty and see if I can get it fixed or get a replacement motor.

Get one of the Breville toaster ovens. i think this is their top of the line model but they have others. This can handle a 12" pizza although you should get the additional pizza tray. I love mine and use it constantly.

We replaced our toaster with the Panasonic. It's not much bigger than a large 4-slice toaster oven, but it does a great job with toast, bagels, etc., plus with reheating stuff like pizza or fried chicken & frozen stuff like nuggets & fish sticks.

The Breville is about twice size & adds the convection fan. Mine can take a 13" pizza (pan included), which is nice for frozen pizzas. It preheats quickly & does a good job cooking. I'm still getting the hang of it, but I rarely use my oven anymore because I don't usually do large batches of stuff like cookies or dinner rolls. I also have an 1800w Nuwave induction cooktop, which has replaced the oven's stovetop range...heats up crazy fast & since I only have a little bit of counterspace, I extend the range out as extra space for cooking.

I also have a couple airfryers, a high-end Philips XL & a cheapie Oyama. I actually kind of like the Oyama better, but I haven't really gotten into either one...easier to just use either the panny toaster oven, or if it's something big that actually needs to be "baked" properly, I use the Breville.

A meeting without coffee and donuts? That should be grounds for cancellation of the meeting! There is probably something in the collective agreement about that.
