I made a fire, so the cat's in my chair near the stove. I have to pick her up and put her in my lap when I sit, then pick her up and put her in the chair when I get up. She's like a sentient pillow that I have to keep with me.

Oh noes, looks like HMV may be about to go into receivership. What the fuq is the American equivalent of a CD/DVD shop? I've seen Virgin Records in a really shitty movie before.

Spent my high school and university years going to this store more than I should have. I've since donated my DVDs, and bulk-packed my CDs into storage. The store's turned into a hipster or kiddy hangout with toys, t-shirts, and "cool" merch over the past decade... like EB Games. Once Sony & Microsoft use the software licensing model, it's game over for EB/Gamestop -- I think one of them tried in ~2013.

And continuing on the great news theme, GM is laying off 600 people in Ontario. No surprise to anyone who's read/heard about the oversupply of cars in the U.S. requiring production halts and subprime auto loans problem.

I fucked up one-forking an eighth of a "meat on a stick" on a plate and the bit fell on my carpet. Good thing it went right instead of left because my keyboard was pretty close to the left. Move the fuq away when eating...

I had my entire large intestine removed and now I can't eat spicy food. Got a real world lesson in that today.

Why no spices? Doesnt your stomach process the stuff and send raw nutrition down your intestine?

Well with no colon or rectum, the entire process is truncated to begin with. Less time for mineral and water absorption, which is why I need to eat more salt and drink more water, but stuff like caffeine and spicy foods just speed up the process even more so it's like zero to sixty and it feels...not good. Ah well, I'm alive, so that's good I guess. :D

I don't know what to make for dinner. The only request so far is for popovers with maple butter. Having a hard time building around that.

My landline stopped working. The DSL internet still works but no dial tone. I played with all the connections and can get a quiet click on hook put that's it.

Ate lunch in my cubicle. My empty greek yogurt cup made the entire place stink like rotten milk, so I fished it out and threw it out in the lunchroom garbage instead.

Interdasting. When I switched us to VoIP, one of the counterarguments was a landline was more reliable. It's probably still true but for 10% of the price, I can deal with missing a call or two.

Actually, everything important goes to my cell phone that's off 99% of the time, so straight to voicemail.

And now I have to call the home insurance broker and try not to void the policy.

Sounds like a switch issue to me. I'd call 611 and let them know, heck, it might be some weird thing were your line got busied out for some reason or the other and they might be able to go in and return it to service. Did you pay your bill? :p

Could be the jumper got loose on the frame on the phone switch side but that would be one hell of a fluke.

For fucks sakes. I went to check my credit card and the balance was way too low. Mental review of transactions and it looks like my cell phone carrier decided to not charge me. But then I log into my cell account and see that my prepaid balance increased. Yet there are no transactions for the past 90 days. The geniuses don't bother sending an email receipt either.

Now I have to call their crappy support line to take my money.

I hate when people throw banana peels at the desk trash cans and it smells like rotten shit. Go to the trash can at the door inconsiderates.

I was kinda surprised. It didn't taste like much, and didn't smell when I opened it. But 20 minutes later... damn. I'm not a frequent yogurt-eater, though.

Yes, oranges and bananas are also problematic.

Well, looks like I caught a break. From googling, people on my carrier in the U.S. of A. have encountered a $300 account limit. I don't remember but I think my last payment on my prepaid phone account would have sent it over that limit. It looked like the payment went through at the time, guess they refunded it automatically and still gave me the renewal extension. There's no record on my credit statement.

Regardless, I checked all my credit cards and I didn't go full retard and put it on another card. No charge, my expiration got bumped, I think problem averted...

Poured a glass of cognac, and it got away from me. I poured a triple or quadruple portion, and it's more than I wanted.
